  The pickup from Nairobi went very well, and our driver, Julius, was excellent - he explained everything very well in English and allowed us to stop and take pictures at will on every game drive. The private 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep was super comfortable, dust and sand were no problem. Among the Big Five, lion, elephant, buffalo and giraffe were easily seen, and even a cheetah was seen hunting - unbelievable! I enjoyed visiting the villages of the Maasai people and seeing their culture, dance and way of life. The camp was clean, the food was delicious (especially breakfast and dinner). 2 nights wasn't enough, I want to go again! Being a private tour, we have the same flexibility as the group. ...more

  I have completed Bencia's 7 Days Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Naivasha & Amboseli Budget Safari. Booking with Alfred was easy - he answered every email and call quickly, and even suggested the best photo spots for the season. Our driver-guide, Joseph, was outstanding: sharing interesting facts about wildlife, passion, animals, and Maasai culture, and spotting a leopard on a tree branch at sunset! The highlights were endless - huge herds of elephants in front of snow-capped Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, and white rhinos, hippos and birds in Lake Naivasha, and lions, cheetahs in the Mara Plains. The budget accommodation was well-maintained (good beds, clean facilities, power points) and the food was plentiful and delicious - breakfast buffet, packed lunch, and dinner barbecue under the stars. The group size was perfect for building friendships, and the pace was active but not exhausting. Bencia offers really good value - professional, fun and unforgettable. ...more

  This 5-day tour of Amboseli, Tsavo West and Tsavo East was truly incredible. The first day at Amboseli was filled with the sight of a huge herd of elephants in the backdrop of Kilimanjaro. Then seeing hippos and fish under the crystal clear waters of Mzima Springs in Tsavo West, and the black volcanic landscape of the Shetani Lava Flow - it was like being on another planet! The red soil of Tsavo East and the herds of red elephants have impressed one and all. Guide Richard is amazing - he used to tell the names of every animal, habits, even small stories so beautifully that it never felt boring. Beds and car were very comfortable and the food was excellent. The team at Bencia Africa planned everything so perfectly that we just won.   We had a wonderful 12 days. The first was a game drive in Kenya's Masai Mara, and we saw numerous lions, zebras, and deer. I was really surprised to see the Great Migration of the Mara River in front of my eyes. Then I went to Lake Nakuru, where rhinos and thousands of flamingos were seen. From Amboseli to Mt. Kilimanjaro, the view was beautiful. At the end, seeing so many animals together in Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania felt like I was in the best place in the world.   Although I started as a solo traveler, I made new friends on this group tour, which made the whole trip twice as enjoyable. Standing on the shores of Lake Nakuru and watching thousands of flamingos felt like time had stopped. Watching the buffalo and elephants on the game drive in Masai Mara was breathtaking.
