This was the first time my friend and I tasted a Kenyan safari. Bencia Africa Adventure & Safaris has put in a lot of effort to provide a good experience - that has to be appreciated. John was a guide driver, very patient and experienced with animals. In Amboseli, he showed us an elephant family that was slowly making its way across a water body. After waiting for a long time in Tsavo East, I saw a lion. Our guide told us that their stomachs are full, so they are lying idle in the shade of the trees. Although the experience was memorable, some things need to be improved. At one of our campsites, the water pressure in the toilets was low, and sometimes there was no hot water. On this six-day safari trip, I got a chance to visit five different national parks, and each place is full of its own characteristics. The colors of the dry, volcanic soil of Tsavo West, Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop of Amboseli, the lakes of Naivasha, and the grasslands of Maasai Mara - all are eye-catching. It was great to see the animals and take pictures. Most of the Big Five can be seen. The tour was organized in a very orderly manner, reaching every park on time, and the accommodation was comfortable and safe. ...more
