Once on the ground Big Five the driver turned the experience into pure magic. His knowledge of the parks, patience and sharp eyes for wildlife gave us incredible sightings of lions, elephants, giraffes and more.   This was the first time my friend and I tasted a Kenyan safari. Bencia Africa Adventure & Safaris has put in a lot of effort to provide a good experience - that has to be appreciated. John was a guide driver, very patient and experienced with animals. In Amboseli, he showed us an elephant family that was slowly making its way across a water body. After waiting for a long time in Tsavo East, I saw a lion. Our guide told us that their stomachs are full, so they are lying idle in the shade of the trees. Although the experience was memorable, some things need to be improved. At one of our campsites, the water pressure in the toilets was low, and sometimes there was no hot water. One day lunch arrived too late because the car had not left the camp in time. Still, I'd say this trip was a real safari experience - real woods, roughness, and animal touches. ...more
