Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : DAY 1

  Galle
  You will be warmly welcome by our Rengha Holidays representative who will guide you throughout the tour. After the formalities at the airport, proceed to your first hotel in Galle. Enroute proceed to do Madu River Boat safari. Maduganga - a beautiful river that nestles midst the greenery of southern Sri Lanka, is the second largest wetland in the country. Brimming with a rich eco-system nourished by the shallow water body, its pristine mangrove swamps are home to over 240 species of various vertebrate animals as well as crabs, shrimp and even several agile crocodiles that can be spotted when they crawl out of their abodes to bask in sunlight! The Maduganga river zone consists of two main islands and close to 30 islets and provides shelter to over 200 families whose main income source is cinnamon. Boat rides are available to visitors who are interested in exploring its environs, where they could observe the various aquatic animals and plants within the river’s eco system up-close and watch the nature’s magic work its way when the sea water mixes with the fresh water of the Maduganga. Thereafter proceed to visit Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. After that transfer to Galle. Check into the hotel. Proceed on a Galle Sightseeing Tour. The old part of the city within the Dutch Fort built in the 17th century has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. A walk on the ramparts from Point Utrecht bastion to Flag Rock bastion will give you an excellent view of the ancient harbor which was know as Tar shish in the Bible. We will pass the District Court and the original entrance to the Fort enroute to the Dutch Reformed Church built in the 17th century. The New Town to the north of the Fort was badly affected by the tsunami in 2004 and is the home of the famous International cricket stadium which has been re-built. Dinner & Overnight Stay in Galle.

• Day 2 : DAY 2

  Mirissa
  Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Mirissa. Check into the hotel. Proceed to visit Mirissa Coconut Hills. Mirissa, a coastal paradise in Sri Lanka, is famed for its golden beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant marine life. A top destination for whale watching, it offers sightings of blue whales, dolphins, and more. The crescent-shaped Mirissa Beach is perfect for surfing, snorkeling, and sunbathing. • Day 3 : DAY 3

  Yala
  Early morning proceed for Whale Watching. Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Yala. Check into the hotel. Enjoy a Jeep safari in the Yala National Park. Yala National park is Sri Lanka"s most visited wildlife reserve. Yala covers an area of 1260 square kilometres. The park"s dry-zone landscape is strikingly beautiful and the park"s wildlife has its own distinctive charm, with huddles of colorful painted storks perched on the incongruously conjoined sight of elephants marching sedately through the bush while rabbits scamper through the undergrowth. Leopards, sloth bears and elephants are the "big 3" here although crocodiles, jackalls and the many variety of birds are also a huge draw to this park which is the largest national park in the country. Covering 308 square kilometers, the park’s open grasslands and water reservoirs provide an excellent habitat for diverse wildlife, including deer, crocodiles, buffalo, and numerous bird species. The Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home, which rehabilitates orphaned elephants, adds to its appeal.
