Senegal lies between latitudes 12 degrees and 17 degrees N and longitudes 11 degrees and 18 degrees W. Senegal is surrounded by Mauritania to the north, Mali to the east, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.
The period between November and March is the best time to visit Senegal. The weather during this time is much cooler and drier than the rest of the year. Bird Watchers should visit between November and April while February to April is the best time to have a beach holiday in Senegal.
