About Mcleodganj

Settled amidst the majestic hills and exuberant greenery, Mcleodganj is a hill station near Dharamshala that is popularly known as 'Little Lhasa'. It bears the name of lieutenant governor of British India, Donald Mcleod. The splendid architecture in Mcleodganj reflect the traces of British era in India. Resting in the serene foothills of Dhauladhar Ranges, Mcleodganj is located near upper Dharamshala. The temperatures remain cool throughout the year; days are warm and mercury falls on low degrees. Moderate rainfall is witnessed during the months of August and late September.

Tsuglagkhang monastery is a must visit place in 'little Lhasa' as it is the home of Dalai Lama.
