Kashmir Delight Tour

Welcome to your 'Kashmir Delight' tour! Upon arrival at airport in Srinagar, you will be escorted to your houseboat in Srinagar. Soak in the vistas of Kashmir as you proceed towards the houseboat.
Later, proceed for a half day sightseeing covering Chashme Shahi , a beautiful garden, the smallest among the famous Mughal gardens, founded in 1632 that has a length of 108 meters and breadth of 38 meters. Pari Mahal also known as Quntilon is a historic monument overseeing the beautiful Chashma Shahi Gardens near Srinagar. This ancient monument brings out the architectural brilliance of the foregone eras. A well-laid spacious garden surrounds this structure, which was once a Buddhist monastery and later served as a school of astrology promoted by the eldest son of Shah Jahan, Dara Shikoh. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple - A beautiful Shiva temple situated at the picturesque location of the Gopadari Hill, South East of Srinagar. This temple is situated at a height of 1100 feet above Srinagar city and is named after the great philosopher. In the evening, go for a tranquil ride on the Shikara (on Sharing Basis).

Today after breakfast, proceed toward Pahalgam, the 'Valley of Shepherds' which is situated at the confluence of streams flowing from the River Lidder and Sheshnag Lake. En route visit the Awantipora Ruins. The famous Awantipora temple was built in the honour of God Mahadev by Awanti Varman. The Shiva - Awantiwareman temple in Awantipora has massive walls beneath the town and therefore has great archaeological significance. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.

This morning, after breakfast, drive to Chandanwari and Betaab valley.
The drive to the village is breathtaking. The location of the village amongst the grasslands, make this place a visual delight. Return to the hotel after sightseeing. Post lunch proceed to Betaab Valley, originally called the Hajan Valley. Post the filming of the 1983 Bollywood blockbuster - 'Betaab' at this location, Hajan was renamed Betaab. Since the discovery of the Betaab Valley, it has become a film-maker's favorite locale for romantic films.
The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities.

Later, proceed for sightseeing at Nishat Bagh, the second largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir and Shalimar Bagh, linked through a channel to the northeast of Dal Lake on its right bank located near Srinagar.

This morning, proceed to Gulmarg, driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg - the 'meadow of flowers' is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden spot. It offers a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees. Take a leisurely stroll or pony rides (on direct payment) across the green meadows to one of the world's highest Golf Courses. Later, take a fun-filled Gondola ride (upto First Level only). Return to Srinagar in the evening.
