Located 5 kilometers from Haridwar, Sapt Rishi Ashram is a beautiful ashram stands close to Sapt Sarovar. It came into being in 1943 as it was reconstructed by Goswami Guru Dutt. According to a legend, from this place, the river Ganges splits into 7 small streams. It happened because of the 7 sages namely Kashyapa, Gautam, Atri, Bhardwaja, Vishwamitra, Jamadagi, and Vashishtha caught the flow of the river Ganges when its gushing waters disturbed their meditation. Formerly known as Rajaji National Park, Rajaji Tiger Reserve is located in the Shivalik range of the Himalayan belt.
