Upon arrival at Arusha Airport you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide who will provide a brief safari introduction before departing for Tarangire National Park one of Tanzanias most spectacular wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its giant baobab trees large elephant herds and the seasonal Tarangire River which serves as a vital water source for wildlife throughout the year. Upon entering the park you will begin an exciting game drive in search of elephants buffaloes giraffes zebras wildebeests impalas gazelles and various predators that inhabit the area. Tarangire is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts hosting hundreds of bird species including ostriches hornbills crowned cranes vultures and hamerkops. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while surrounded by the beautiful African wilderness. After lunch continue with your afternoon game drive before departing the park in the late afternoon and driving to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay. Meal Plan: Half Board (Lunch & Dinner). After an early breakfast depart for the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Descend approximately 600 meters into the crater floor for an unforgettable wildlife viewing experience. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife including elephants buffaloes zebras wildebeests hippos hyenas and a variety of antelope species. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the endangered black rhinoceros and offers excellent opportunities to see lions in their natural habitat. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor near the hippo pool while taking in the breathtaking scenery. After lunch continue with your game drive before ascending the crater and beginning your journey back to Arusha. Upon arrival in Arusha you will be transferred directly to Arusha Airport for your onward flight marking the end of your memorable 2-day wildlife safari adventure. Today you will have an optional activity of visiting and doing a Maasai Boma Cultural Experience. Meal Plan: Half Board (Breakfast & Lunch).
