Day 1 : Fly Dar-es-Salaam to Kigoma then Boat Ride to Gombe
Pick up from the hotel in Dar es Salaam / resident house and transfer to Dar airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma which departs at 09h30 and arrive Kigoma at 12h20. Pick up on arrival and transfer to the restaurant in Kigoma town where you will take lunch and after lunch transfer to Kibirizi port for a boat ride to Gombe National Park. As you arrive at Gombe National Park you will register at the park headquarter, and handled to your guide. The guide help you check in into your rooms and then depart into the forest for chimpanzee trekking. Gombe National park host about 100 individual chimps and 8 species of primates including the olive baboon, blue monkeys, red tailed monkey etc. Apart from primates the park is also a home to forest pigs, dik dik and a variety of tropical birdlife. Dinner and overnight Tanapa Rest house. F/B.
Day 2 : Chimpanzee Trekking at Gombe
Breakfast in the lodge, depart for chimpanzee trekking in the forest at 08h30 heading to Kakombe water fall via the legendary chimpanzee feeding station. Since 1960 Gombe national park become one of the significant research center for primates particularly the chimpanzees. Students and researcher from around the world have been coming to gombe to study about the chimpanzee. During the trek you will also climb the Jane’s peak. Back to the lodge for hot lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure in at the lodge enjoying swimming in the clear crystal water of the Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and overnight at Tanapa Rest house. F/B.
Day 3 : Gombe to Kigoma/ fly back to Dar-es-salaam
Breakfast then boat ride back to Kigoma town where we will transfer to the airport for your scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam which departs at Kigoma at 12h10 and arrive Dar es Salaam at 15h00.
