Highlights Two nights at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, famous for its elevated rooms overlooking a busy wildlife waterhole. Morning and afternoon game drives in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, home to elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hundreds of antelope and bird species. Optional night game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife. Bush meals, sundowners, and guided walking safaris for a more intimate nature experience. Stunning landscapes of Taita Hills with opportunities for photography and wildlife observation. Short safari, ideal for travelers on limited time or combining with beach or city stays.
Morning: Pick up from Nairobi or Mombasa (depending on package). Depart early and travel to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Scenic drive through Machakos, Mtito Andei, and Voi. Midday: Arrival at Salt Lick Safari Lodge. Check-in and enjoy lunch overlooking the lodge waterhole. Afternoon free to relax and observe wildlife from the lodge terraces. Afternoon / Evening: First game drive (approx. 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM) in a 4×4 vehicle with a pop-up roof. Guided tour through sanctuary to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and predators. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Early Morning: Optional sunrise game drive (6:30 AM – 9:00 AM) for predator and bird sightings. Return to lodge for breakfast. Midday / Afternoon: Lodge-based wildlife viewing at the waterhole. Optional activities: Bush walking safari with ranger to learn about tracks, plants, and smaller wildlife. Guided photography sessions at the waterhole or underground viewing bunker. Relax at the lodge or enjoy sundowner drinks outdoors. Late Afternoon / Evening: Second game drive (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM) exploring different areas of the sanctuary. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay. Optional night game drive to see nocturnal species such as hyenas and jackals.

Morning: Early morning game drive (6:30 AM – 9:00 AM) to catch the last sightings of wildlife active at dawn. Return to lodge for breakfast. Check-out from lodge and depart toward Voi or Nairobi/Mombasa. Midday / Afternoon: Scenic drive back with optional short wildlife stops en route. End of safari and drop-off at your hotel or airport.
