Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Darbhanga To Kosi Barrage & Drive To Kanyam , Ilam

Morning: Hire a private cab from Darbhanga to the Nepal-India border at approx. 180 km, 5–6 hours) via kosi barrage . Border Crossing: Complete immigration and custom formalities at the kosi barrage check post. Afternoon: Take a local 4WD jeep from Koshi barrage to the picturesque tea gardens of Ilam (approx. 130 km, 4.5 hours). Overnight stay in Ilam.

Day 2 Ilam To Phungling & Thulo Phedi

Morning: Enjoy a scenic drive from Ilam to Phungling (the district headquarters of Taplejung). Afternoon: Head further up to Thulo Phedi (the starting point of the trek). The road winds through stunning Himalayan foothills and local villages. Overnight stay at a teahouse or lodge in Thulo Phedi.

Day 3 The Pathibhara Trek & Descent To Phidim

Early Morning: Begin your trek to the Pathibhara Temple at 3,794 meters. The hike is about 8-10 hours round trip depending on your pace, but you should start before dawn to experience clear skies and sweeping views of the Kanchenjunga range. Afternoon: Descend back to Thulo Phedi. Evening: Take a local jeep down to Phidim for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 4 Phidim To Kanyam ,dharbhanga

Morning: Travel back from Phidim to the kosi barrage border by jeep. Afternoon: Retrieve your vehicle or hire a cab from the border to cross back into India and return to Darbhanga.
