Welcome to the start of your safari in Tanzania. The day begins in Arusha with an introductory briefing before the trip begins. Time is available to explore the streets of Arusha to learn about local life, visit museums and markets, and sample the local food scene. Overnight accommodation is at Green Side Hotel in Arusha with breakfast and dinner included.
Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park to explore one of Tanzanias most rewarding parks known for big baobab trees, large elephant populations and healthy lion populations. Expect sightings of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras with chances to see big cats. Enjoy classic safari scenery of savannah plains, river woodlands and rocky hills. Overnight stay is at Marera Valley Lodge with breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Depart towards the Serengeti National Park and spend the day in the Central Serengeti near Seronera. The Serengeti offers staggering abundance of wildlife and is famed for predator sightings and, if in season, the Great Migration. Expect to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest and hyenas. Evenings are spent at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp where you can enjoy meals under the stars in a quiet corner of the savannah. Accommodation is in tented camp with breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
A full day to continue exploring the Serengeti and its wildlife with additional game drives and time to appreciate dramatic landscapes of golden savannahs, acacia trees and kopjes. Return to Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp each evening to relax at the tented camp and enjoy the camp location and facilities. Accommodation at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp with breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Return to Arusha with time to further explore the city. Arusha offers museums, markets and local culture to enjoy. Overnight accommodation is at Green Side Hotel in Arusha. Dinner is included on this day.
This is the final day of the safari. Transfer from Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport for departure. Breakfast is included prior to your onward journey and the safari concludes with your airport transfer.
