Day 1 Londorossi Gate To Shira 1 Camp

Your trek begins at Londorossi Gate after a drive from Moshi or Arusha. After park registration, you’ll head to the trailhead, situated at an elevation of about 2,360 meters (7,740 feet). The hike commences through lush rainforests, and you’ll encounter a variety of wildlife and exotic flora. Reach Shira 1 Camp, located at approximately 3,610 meters (11,845 feet) for your first night on the mountain.

Day 2 Shira 1 Camp To Shira 2 Camp

Shira Plateau

Ascend through the Shira Plateau, which offers expansive views of the surrounding landscapes. The trail crosses moorland and volcanic rock formations. Arrive at Shira 2 Camp, situated at an elevation of about 3,845 meters (12,615 feet), and set up camp for the night.
