Barog is a small town situated on the the Shimla-Kalka highway. Barog is named after a British engineer, Colonel Barog. Colonel Barog was assigned a task to build a tunnel here. He commenced digging the tunnel from both sides of the mountain. He made mistakes in his calculation and while constructing the tunnel, it was found that the two ends of the tunnel did not meet. Barog was fined an amount of 1 Rupee . He could bear the humiliation of failure and thus committed suicide. His grave is located near the tunnel.
Renuka Lake is a famous tourist spot in the region. This lake is situated near Barog.
Bon Monastery, Grave of Barog and Choor Chandani Peak are popular site to visit in Barog.
The Grave of Barog is located 3 Kilometers from the Barog railway station. Due to the guilt of failure of tunnel construction, Colonel Barog committed suicide. The Grave is encompasses by a garden. Now, it is a famous tourist attraction.
Bon Monastery is situated on the Narag-Sarahan road. Bon Monastery was built in the year 1969. It is an important Buddhist pilgrim site. This monastery is also known as ‘Yungdrung Bon Monastery’.
Choor Chandani Peak is a popular tourist attraction in Barog. It is surrounded by pine trees . In the moonlit night, the peak gives an impression of various silver bangles sliding down the slope. Therefore, it is known as Choor Chandani and Choordhar mountains.

Day 1

Delhi - Barog

You will have to travel a distance of 298 km in 4 Hrs ,55 Min. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. After refreshing up at the hotel we take you to explore Barog. We take you to visit Grave of Barog and Bon Monastery. Over night stay in hotel.
Day 2

In Barog

Start your day with a delicious breakfast. You can use the whole day for sight seeing of Barog. Visit the Choor Chandani Peak and Renuka Lake. Dinner and visit local market of Barog. Later we drive you to Delhi.
