The highlight of this tour is the trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, followed by a climb to Chandrashila Peak, offering panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Chaukhamba, and Kedar peaks. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

New Delhi to Chopta (400 kms)

Devprayag Dhari Devi Temple

Your journey begins early in the morning around 4–5 AM from New Delhi as you drive through Haridwar, Rishikesh, Devprayag, and Rudraprayag, witnessing the confluence of sacred rivers and stunning Himalayan valleys on the way. By late afternoon or evening, you will reach Chopta, the gateway to Tungnath and Chandrashila, surrounded by lush meadows and dense forests of pine and deodar. After check-in at your hotel/camp, relax and enjoy the tranquil mountain air with a hot cup of tea. Later, enjoy a hearty dinner and spend the night under the starlit sky in Chopta.

Day 2

Trek to Tungnath & Chandrashila

Tungnath Temple Deoriatal

Wake up early to a crisp Himalayan morning and fuel up with breakfast before setting out for the much-awaited Tungnath and Chandrashila trek. The trek is around 3.5 km to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, where devotion blends with scenic grandeur. After seeking blessings, continue the short but steep ascent of about 1.5 km to Chandrashila Peak, perched at over 4,000 meters. From here, soak in 360° views of the snow-clad Himalayan giants like Nanda Devi, Chaukhamba, and Trishul. Capture the moment, breathe in the pure air, and then begin your descent back to Chopta. Spend the evening at leisure, enjoying the bonfire (if available) and relishing dinner.

Day 3

Chopta – Deoria Tal – Delhi (Approx. 450 km / 11–12 hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out and drive a short distance to Sari Village, the starting point for a pleasant 2.5 km trek to Deoria Tal. The serene lake, famous for mirroring the snow-capped Chaukhamba peaks, is surrounded by thick forests and makes for a perfect morning walk. Spend some peaceful time by the lakeside before trekking back to Sari. From here, start your return journey to Delhi with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas. You will reach Delhi late in the night, marking the end of your adventurous Chopta trip.
