About Shri Kedarnath & Badrinath
Kedarnath is a holy town nestled in the Himalayas. Located in Uttarakhand, it is one of the most sacred pilgrimages of Lord Shiva and is one of the famous Char Dham sites. This picturesque city offers a tranquil ambiance with its snow-white peaks, luscious landscapes, green forests, and vibrant rhododendrons.
The Badrinath Temple, also known as the Badrinarayan Temple, located in Uttarakhand's Badrinath town, is one of the char Dham (four important pilgrimages) in the state. There are four pilgrim destinations, namely Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, collectively known as Char Dham. These pilgrimage centres draw large numbers of pilgrims each year, thus becoming the most important hubs of religious travel in the whole of Northern India.
Badrinath is located at an elevation of around 3,100 m. Located in the Garhwal Himalayas, on the banks of the Alaknanda River, this sacred town lies between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. The temple is believed to have been established by sage Adi Shankaracharya 8th century. With Lord Vishnu as its presiding deity, the temple remains open for six months in a year. In winter it becomes inaccessible due to heavy snowfall.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Haridwar to Guptakashi/Sitapur, 197 km, 9 hrs

Checkout early morning from the Haridwar hotel.

Drive to Guptakashi/Sitapur/Phata from Haridwar. Enjoy the scenic drive through the beautiful hill roads.

Arrival at the hotel by evening. Check-in at the hotel and relax.

Dinner followed by rest in the hotel.

Day 2 : Guptakashi/Sitapur to Kedarnath

Wake up early and get ready for the Dham of Lord Shiva, i.e., Kedarnath, also known as the home of Lord Shiva.

Take the shuttle service from Sonprayag to Gaurikund and start your trek thereafter.

18 km trek to Kedarnath Temple. (You can also opt for dolly, pony, pitthu, or helicopter at your own cost.)

Reach Kedarnath and visit the temple for the evening darshan after taking some rest.

Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel/Guesthouse/GMVN Cottages.

Day 3 : Kedarnath to Guptakashi

Wake up early around 4 a.m. and witness the morning darshan. In the morning, you can go inside the Garbha Griha and see the hump of the Bull.

After breakfast, trek down from Kedarnath to Sitapur/Guptakashi.

Reach in the evening followed by dinner and rest.

Day 4 : Guptkashi to Chamoli /Pipalkoti

Wake up early.

Have breakfast and check out from the hotel.

Travel to Pipalkoti via Chopta. Enjoy sightseeing in Chopta Meadows.

Arrival at Pipalkoti by 7:30 PM. Check-in at the hotel.

Day 5 : Chamoli / Pipalkoti to Badrinath to Pipalkoti

Early leave for Badrnathji.

Morning Darshan at Temple

Drive to Mana which is the last Indian Village

Drive to pipalkoti. Overnight stay at pipalkoti.

Leave for Haridwar after breakfast.

Drive via Devprayag and Rishikesh.
