About Char Dham Yatra
Char Dhams are four pilgrimage sites located in the serene heights of the Great Himalayan range of Uttarakhand namely Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. All four shrines are located to different gods in Hindu mythology.

Yamunotri is dedicated to goddess Yamuna, Gangotri is dedicated to goddess Ganga, Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the Panch Kedars and one of the twelve Jyotirlings of India and Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

The Yatra starts from Yamunotri then proceeding to Gangotri and finally to Kedarnath and Badrinath. Throughout the journey you will get to see clean environment, high mountains, pure rivers making it a wonderful experience spiritually, religiously that will fill your soul and soothe your eyes.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Haridwar to Barkot (210 km / 7-8 hrs)

  En route stop at Mussoorie (Kempty Falls)
  Scenic drive through the hills
  Overnight stay: Barkot

  • Hotspots Mussoorie, Kempty Falls

• Day 2 : Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (36 km drive + 6 km trek one-way)

  Drive to Janki Chatti (36 km)
  Trek to Yamunotri (6 km one way; options: pony, palanquin, or walk) ∙ Visit Yamunotri Temple, hot springs (Surya Kund)
  Trek back and return to Barkot
  Overnight stay: Barkot

• Day 3 : Barkot to Uttarkashi (100 km / 4–5 hrs)

  Scenic drive along the Bhagirathi River
  Visit: Vishwanath Temple in Uttarkashi
  Overnight stay: Uttarkashi

• Day 4 : Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km one way)

  Early morning drive to Gangotri
  Visit: Gangotri Temple, Ganga Aarti, Bhagirath Shila
  Return to Uttarkashi in the evening
  Overnight stay: Uttarkashi

• Day 5 : Uttarkashi to Guptkashi / Sitapur (200–230 km / 8–9 hrs)

  Long drive; rest stops en route
  Pass via Tehri Dam and scenic mountain villages
  Overnight stay: Guptkashi / Sitapur

• Day 6 : Guptkashi – Sonprrayg - Gaurikund – Kedarnath (18 km trek)

  Drive to Sonpryag
  Start trek to Kedarnath (18 km one way; pony/helicopter option available)
  Visit: Kedarnath Temple in evening
  Overnight stay: Kedarnath (basic accommodations or camp)

• Day 7 : Kedarnath to Guptkashi / Sitapur

  Return trek to Gaurikund

  Early morning departure
  Visit: Narsingh Temple at Joshimath en route
  Reach Badrinath by evening
