Day wise Itinerary

Day 1

Srinagar – Drass – Kargil

Journey starts from Srinagar to Sonmarg. Sonmarg, which means “Meadow of Gold”, provides a fantastic start to the journey as we enter the Sindh Valley. Depart for Kargil via the Zozi Pass (11575 ft). On the Road to Kargil we also visit Vijay Samarak (Kargil War Memorial), Drass and the legendary Tiger Hill. Night Stay at Kargil.

Day 2

Kargil –leh

Early morning will take the road again and head towards our ultimate destination – Leh. A number of attractions en-route – Pathar Sahib Guruduwara, Moonland, Magnetic Hill, Confluence of Indus and Zanskar River (Nimu) & Lamayuru. Night Stay at leh.

Day 3

Leh – Rest Day

Leh Palace

Late afternoon visit to Shantistupa, Tsemo Gompa & Leh Palace. In evening visit the local town and market.

Day 4

Leh – Khardungla –nubra Valley

Early morning, leave on road to Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass which is situated at a height of 18380 ft and considered as the highest motorable pass of the world. In the afternoon, explore Hunder & Diskit monastery and white sand dunes via camel safari. The safari tour is done with double humped camels that are found only in Nubra Valley.Night Stay at guest house (with dinner), Hunder Village.

Day 5

Nubra – Warila – Pangong

Pangong Lake

Today is the day to visit the 3 idiots fame Pangong Lake (located on the Indo China Border) via warila. The Pangong Lake is nearly 140km long and 3-5km wide and more than half of it lies in the Tibetan territory. Night Stay at tented camp (with dinner) situated near the lake.

Day 6

Pangong –leh

After breakfast, leave Pangong / Tangtse and retrace the Leh route across Chang-la. Overnight in guest house/hotel

Day 7

Depart From Leh

Early morning transfer to Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport on time to board flight for onward destination.

29 – 20 days before date of departure: 50% of total cost.

19 days or less before date of departure: 100% of total cost.
