You can cover the trekking distance by walking or hire horse or Doli. Take holy bath in Jamunabai Kund, cook prasad (rice or patato) at Surya Kund and then offer prayer to Divya Shila and later worship "Yamunaji" at main temple. Explore the divine location of Yamunotri. Return to Hanuman Chatti, a confluence of Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna River. Thereafter, drive to Barkot for overnight stay.

Early in the morning drive for Gangotri, the surface coverable distance is 100 Kms approx. in three hours (one side). Gangotri is located at a higher altitude of 3048 meters above sea level and enjoys the lap of greater Himalayan Ranges. Gangotri is the sitting place of Goddess Ganga. After offering prayer at Gangotri Temple, return to Uttarkashi for overnight stay.
