Kalindi Khal Trek Package

Early morning reporting at Haridwar railway station. Immediate drive to Uttarkashi, our base for this trek. Uttarkashi is mid size settlement and popular for its best climbing Institute in India. Inner line formalities and Overnight stay in a small & clean guesthouse / Hotel.

After breakfast drive 100km; 4hrs to Gangotri via beautiful mountain scenery of “valley of Ganges”. Overnight stay in a guesthouse / Hotel.

The trek begins. Carrying just our essentials in a backpack, a leisurely walk of 9 km gets us to our first tented camp by the waters of Bhagirathi, amongst trees of birch and pine (Chid), at Chidbasa. Overnight Camping.

After breakfast we wind up camp and proceed to Bhojwasa (5km). Interacting with pilgrims - our companions on this route – it is an experience in itself! The first glimpse of Mt. Shivling en route is breathtaking! We reach Bhojwasa and we will make an excursion to Goumukh (Snout of famous Gangotri glacier); return to Bhojwasa for hot lunch. Overnight camping.

We will walk through Goumukh again and crossing the Gangotri Glacier to its true left side and climb up onto the alpine meadow of Tapovan (4463m / 14639ft). Tapovan is large high altitude meadow and base camp for climbing Mt Shivling and Mt Meru. Overnight stay in tented camp. This would be photographer’s paradise.

After breakfast we start our trek to Nandanvan (4500m / 14760ft) the base of the Bhagirathi peaks across Gangotri Glacier, which approximately takes 5 – 6 hrs. From here we have glorious views of Mt. Shivling and Meru. Overnight Camping.

Trek along the Chaturangi Glacier to Vasukital. A steady climb will get us to the campsite near a small lake. Overnight camping.

Rest day at Vasukital. Overnight camping at Vasukital.

After breakfast we start our 6 km trek to Khada Pathar (5456m / 17895ft). Crossing the Satopanth Glacier we reach Khada Pathar in approximately 4 – 5 hrs. Overnight camping.

After walking for 6-7 hours on the glacier we would need to camp on the glacier. This would be a long tiring day.

A long day walking on moraine with greater views of Sweta, Chandra and many other peaks.

After an early breakfast we start our trek and cross Kalindi Pass (5947m / 19506ft) and then start descending to arrive at Rajparav. Overnight camping at Rajparav. In a clear day we can see many peaks like Kamet (7757m), Mana (7272m).

After breakfast we continue our descent with crossing Saraswati River. Rest of the day is walking on boulder filled meadows

Today’s walk is more gradual with fantastic views of many named and unnamed rocky peaks and spires. Camp near a beautiful groundwater pool.

Our last day walk is mostly on army road, we can visit Bheem pul and Mana village at the end. We meet our waiting vehicle at Mana. Drive 3 km to Badrinath.Overnight stay in a small & clean guesthouse / Hotel.

After breakfast drive to Haridwar. Drop to Haridwar station. Final Departure. Trip Ends
