Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Jammu * On to Katra (52 kms / approx.1.5 hour drive)

  Welcome to your ‘Kashmir Experience’ tour! Arrive at Airport / Railway Station in Jammu where you will be met and transferred to Katra where on arrival you will check-in to your hotel.
  The day is at leisure for independent activities.
  Overnight in Katra - None (Meals on your own).

• Day 2 : Katra - Trek to Mata Vaishnodevi (14 kms one way)

  As per your own preferred time, proceed to Banganga from where you will trek up the Mata Vaishnodevi Temple on your own.
  Every day of the year, a mass of humanity surges up steep pathways that cut across the hillside for mile after mile.Popular belief holds that anybody who walks the Himalayan trail to her abode to ask for a wish rarely goes back disappointed.
  There are many who journey here to pay obeisance regardless of their faith, class, caste or religion, for Mata Vaishnodevi transcends all such barriers. Return to your hotel after Darshan.

• Day 3 : On to Patnitop (70 kms / approx. 2.5 hour drive)

  Today, transfer to Patnitop. This hill station is mainly famous for its many adventure spots. There are also options available for skiing in Patnitop, so skiing enthusiasts will love the place.
  You can also visit the water springs in the region during your trip to Patnitop. On arrival into Patnitop, check-in to your hotel.The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the beauty of Patnitop.
  Overnight in Patnitop

• Day 4 : On to Pahalgam (180 kms / approx. 5.5 hour drive)

  Today, depart for Pahalgam, the ‘valley of shepherds’ which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from the river Lidder and Sheshnag Lake. On arrival into Pahalgam, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the surrounding beauty.
  The rest of the day is at leisure to explore this popular tourist destination of Pahalgam (On your own).

• Day 5 : Pahalgam

  The day is at leisure to admire the beauty of this quiet place. One can enjoy a pony ride to nearby place like Chandanwari on your own or simply walk along the Lidder River.
  An idyllic picnic spot and a gateway for Amarnath Yatra. Filmgoers will recognize it instantly as it has been a favourite location in several movies.
  Overnight in Pahalgam.

• Day 6 : On to Gulmarg (145 kms / approx. 5 hour drive)

  This morning, proceed to Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg - the ‘Meadow of Flowers’ is an apt term for this idyllic flower - laden spot, offering a spectacular view of towering snow capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs and pine trees.
  On arrival, check-in to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. You may wish to stroll leisurely across the green meadows to one of the world’s highest Golf Course. You may also wish to take a fun-filled ride in the Gondola on your own.
  Overnight in Gulmarg

• Day 7 : On to Srinagar (52 kms / approx. 2 hour drive)

  Today, drive to Srinagar. En route, make a brief visit to Awantipura Ruins, an 1100year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Arrive into Srinagar and check into your hotel. In the afternoon visit the Mughal Gardens - Shalimar Garden, Chashmeshahi and Nishant Gardens (Closed on Friday). With terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flowerbeds with the panorama of the Dal in front of them, the three Mughal Gardens were the Mughal Emperors' concept of paradise, where they relaxed with their exquisite queens. Today, they are popular picnic spots.
  Later Visit the Shankracharya Temple situated atop a hill.
  Shankaracharya Mandir is regarded as the oldest temple in the valley of Kashmir. The structure of the temple boasts about the architectural style of those times.It is believed that Shankracharya, the great philosopher, lived here during his trip to Kashmir. Ever since, the temple came to be known as the Shankaracharya Temple.
  The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities. You can enjoy shopping at the local market on your own for papier-mache items ranging from jewellery boxes to mirror frames, a range of intricately carved walnut wood furniture and accessories, stone jewellery boxes, beautiful woollen shawls etc.
  Overnight in Srinagar

  • Hotspots : Shankaracharya Temple, Shalimar Garden
  • Themes : Hill Stations & Valleys
  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast

• Day 8 : Srinagar - Day Excursion to Sonmarg (90 kms / approx. 3 hour drive)

  Today, embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘Meadow of Gold’ - Sonmarg . Sonmarg is synonymous with quiet meadows and flower-carpeted fields surrounded by amazing glaciers, miniature plateaus, snowfields, pines and islets.
  You can opt for a pony ride on your own to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice. Return to your hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure for you to explore the city on your own. You can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of this city or continue to indulge in shopping!
  Overnight in Srinagar

  • Meals & Drinks : Breakfast

• Day 9 : Depart Srinagar

  Today, bid farewell to your ‘Kashmir Experience’ tour as you are transferred to Airport in Srinagar for your onward journey.
