KATHMANDU WITH LUMBINI TOUR

You arrive to Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu where we come to pickup you and transfer to hotel. We will have trip briefing meeting once you check into the hotel.

Sightseeing Tour of Kathmandu. We will take you for a full day cultural tour to the heritage sites in Kathmandu. You will visit Swoyambhunath, Patan Durbar Square, Boudhanath and Pashupatinath. This is an immersion into the cultural, historical and spiritual wonders of Kathmandu valley. Exploring ancient temples, medieval palaces and local areas in Kathmandu give you an idea of lifestyle in over 2000 years old Kathmandu valley.

Drive to Bandipur for rural heritage exploration. Bandipur is 148 kilometers southwest of Kathmandu. About 4.5 hours of drive through scenic highway takes us to Bandipur, a beautiful hiltop village that offers the spectacular view of the Himalayan range and gorgeous valley.

Drive to Pokhara. We drive to Pokhara after breakfast. It takes about 2.5 hours to reach Pokhara. Once we check into the hotel in Pokhara, we will go for a peaceful boat ride on the Fewa Lake and later take some leisurely stroll around the Lakeside and marketplace.

Pokhara Sightseeing Tour. It is an early morning start today. Wake up early to drive for half hour to Sarangkot for a beautiful sunrise view over the Himalayas. Later, in the afternoon, we will have a sightseeing tour of Pokhara that takes you to Gupteshwor cave, Davis falls, World Peace Stupa, and Mountaineering museum. We will also have some free time in the afternoon to wander around.

Drive to Lumbini Lumbini is 169 kilometers south of Pokhara and takes about 6 hours to reach there. Lumbini is the birth place of Buddha where we are going to explore the monasteries, sacred pond, Maya Devi Temple, Peace flame, Peace Stupa etc.

Drive to Kathmandu We drive 260 kilometers back to Kathmandu today. It will take us around 8 hours to reach Kathmandu. Although its a long drive, it will allow us to enjoy more of the diversity of Nepalese landscape, lifestyle and nature.
