Nantu Forest is located in the heart of the Wallacea region in Gorontalo Province, northern Sulawesi, Indonesia. Wallacea is the wildlife transition zone between Asia and Australia. Nantu Forest consists of Nantu Wildlife Reserve (Suaka Margasatwa, 33.023 ha), Protection Forest (19.606 ha) and Production Forest (10.002 ha). In other words; 500 square kilometers of virgin rainforest.
The forest is very important for the ecosystem services it provides. A community of appr. 30.000 lives within the Nantu and Paguyaman river watershed and is completely dependent on these rivers for its water supply. Nantu’s carbon content is invaluable. Arrive – Manado City Tour
Upon arrival at Manado airport, you’ll welcome and pick up by our representative and then transfer to Manado for city tour, visiting : “Ban Hing Kiong” the oldest Chinese temple in East Indonesia, located at the China town of Manado, Bersehati Fish market, Boulevard st the center of Biz in Manado,etc.

Manado – Gorontalo
After breakfast at the hotel, drive directly to Gorontalo passing Amurang, Inobonto, Lolak and Kwandang. Lunch will be served en route. Along the way you’ll have nice panorama of plantations (Cloves, Cinnamon,etc), paddy fields, beaches, fisherman village and local life style. Late afternoon arrive in Gorontalo, check in at the hotel.

After having b’fast, will arrange the permition at Foreign police at Gorontalo for Nantu Wildlife Sanctuary, afterwards drive directly to Nantu forest. Lunch will then be served en route. Arrive in Nantu village you’ll have free at leisure.
