Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Drive from Rishikesh/Haridwar to Joshimath (approx. 8-9 hours).

  A long, scenic drive that follows the holy confluence points (Prayags) like Rudraprayag and Devprayag. The journey takes you into the higher Garhwal region, past the Chamoli district, to Joshimath, the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. Check into your accommodation and prepare for the final high-altitude leg tomorrow.

• Day 2 : Drive from Joshimath to Badrinath and Mana Village (approx. 2 hours one way).

  Drive to Badrinath Temple, one of the Char Dhams, situated between the Nar and Narayan peaks. Perform rituals and darshan. Afterward, drive a short distance to Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibetan border, exploring the Vyas Gufa (Vyas Cave) and Ganesh Gufa, both of mythological importance.

• Day 3 : Drive from Badrinath/Joshimath to Auli and back (Exploration Day).

  Drive up to the beautiful ski resort of Auli, famous for its panoramic views. Take the cable car ride (optional) for stunning vistas of the Nanda Devi peak, the second-highest mountain in India. Spend time walking in the green meadows (Bugyals) of Auli, enjoying the wide-open views of the massive Himalayan peaks.

• Day 4 : Drive from Joshimath to Chopta (approx. 5-6 hours).

  Drive through the stunning scenic valleys, reaching Chopta, often called the "Mini Switzerland of India," for its vast, lush green meadows and stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. Check into a campsite/guesthouse in Chopta and spend the evening enjoying the tranquility and pristine mountain air.

• Day 5 : Trek from Chopta to Tungnath and Chandrashila Peak (approx. 6 hours return trek).

  Embark on the moderate, scenic trek to Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world. Continue the ascent to Chandrashila Peak (4000m) for a magnificent 360-degree view of the Nanda Devi, Trishul, Kedar, and Chaukhamba peaks at sunrise or sunset, before descending back to Chopta.D

• Day 6 : Drive from Chopta to Rishikesh/Haridwar (approx. 8-9 hours).

  The final long, beautiful drive takes you out of the high mountains and back towards the plains. The journey is a picturesque descent, allowing time to reflect on the spiritual journey to Badrinath and the stunning mountain views from Chopta and Chandrashila, concluding the Uttarakhand tour.
