Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Madurai Airport - Madurai

  Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Madurai Airport/ Railway Station and then transfer to the hotel. Check-in and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Later, proceed for a half day city sightseeing tour of Madurai which is called the `Athens of the East' because of the way myth meets life here. It is almost synonymous with the famed Meenakshi Temple the nucleus of the temple is older than the Madurai city. The Meenakshi temple complex at Madurai is not only an architectural marvel but also the epitome of Indian culture and civilization. Explore the rest of the day at your own. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

• Day 2 : Madurai - Rameshwaram

  Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Rameswaram, the temple town where Lord Ram struggled for Sita. This is the spiritual place from where Lord Rama built a bridge across the sea to rescue his wife Sita, from her abductor, Ravana. This is also the place where Rama worshiped Lord Shiva to cleanse away the sin of killing Ravana. Other interesting places are Agnitheertham which is located at a few meters from the Ramanathaswamy temple. It is believed to be located at the same spot where Rama worshiped Lord Shiva. Dhanushkodi is another interesting place where Vibishana, brother of Ravana of the Ramayanam, surrendered before Lord Rama at this spot. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

• Day 4 : Kodaikanal - Kodaikanal

  Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast by hearing the mesmerizing sounds of the sparrows in Kodaikanal. Later proceed for the sightseeing. The major attractions are Museum at Shenbaganur "Shenbagam" or "Michelia Nilagririca" is a tree endemic in the South Indian hill forests with an impressive collection of stuffed-birds and the butterflies. Here one can see a wide ranging collection of birds classified into ground birds, water birds, tree birds. Dolmen Circle where one can find the presence of pre-historic remains dating back to 5000 BC. Berijam Lake, a must see place as sighting of bison, leopard and other chirping birds are very common here. Pillar Rocks are three granite boulders which are seen standing vertically shoulder to shoulder vertically measuring to a height of about 122 meters (400 feet), providing a beautiful view. Neptune's Pools are a series of crystal clear rock pools, formed by a stream that runs through pine forests. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

  Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed for a morning sightseeing trip of Munnar; visiting . Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr .(National Park is Closed during breeding season. Please check with us regarding the visit prior to your arrival)& Tea Gardens along with Tea Museum (Closed on Mondays and Good Friday) . Mattupetty Dam which offers many fascinating sights to relish. The Shola forests around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and bird watching, with the variety of birds found there. Kundala is a picturesque town located at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.
