CHECK IN PROCEDURE

In Delhi security check will be conducted at the time of check-in at the railway station, whereby, luggage is required to be scanned. Please present your passport at the time of check in to collect ticket voucher and relevant documents.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi- Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)

  On day, once you arrive in Delhi, assemble at the Safdarjung Railway Station. Enjoy the traditional welcome ceremony. Complete your check-in formalities and get aboard the luxurious Deccan Odyssey. Relish your welcome drink and settle yourself in your designated cabin. Meanwhile the train starts its journey for the first destination Sawai Madhopur to meet the ferocious big cats at the Ranthambore National Park.

• Day 2 : Sawai Madhopur (Ranthambore)

  Once you arrive at Sawai Madhopur, on-board the train to visit Ranthambore, known for being home to a good number of tigers. Partake in wildlife safari for the day in the Tiger Reserve, which was once the private hunting ground of the rulers of Jaipur. The day would be divided into 2 safaris- morning and afternoon. Back to the train for overnight stay.

• Day 3 : Agra

  On the day, the Deccan Odyssey arrives in Agra, famed as the Mughal City. Have your breakfast on-board followed by a city tour of Agra. You get a chance to explore the world-popular structures that were built during the Mughal Era. The first visit of the day is to the enchanting Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, a while-marble mausoleum. Later in the day visit another popular monument Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb. The last attraction that you visit is the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Agra Fort. Overnight on-board.

• Day 4 : Jaipur

  Today the train arrives in Jaipur, the vibrant capital city of the Royal State of Rajasthan. Also known as the Pink City, historical Jaipur is home to amazing palaces, forts and much more. You visit the popular monuments of this city. Later, indulge in shopping at the eclectic mesmerizing bazaars of this city wherein you can get some amazing handicrafts, Indian apparels, imitation jewelry, gems, like nowhere else in the world. The evening is scheduled for a gala dinner at a special venue. Go back to the train for staying overnight.

• Day 5 : Jodhpur

  On day, the train arrives at the Blue City, Jodhpur. Relish tasty fresh breakfast aboard. Post breakfast, leave the train for exploring this beautiful historic city. Spend the day by partaking in the well-known Old MARKET of Jodhpur, where you can also collect souvenirs. The day also includes a visit to the magnificent Mehrangarh Fort, placed 400 feet above the city level, offering an amazing view of the surrounding area. Overnight stay aboard the Deccan Odyssey.

• Day 6 : Udaipur

  Today, the train reaches Udaipur, famous for being one of India's most romantic cities. Breakfast on-board, followed by a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit some of the most popular tourist attractions of this 'City of Lakes'. Visit the City Palace, and later Fateh Prakash Palace, known for housing the stunning Crystal Gallery, owning world's single largest private collection of crystal. Thereafter, you enjoy a leisure walk through the picturesque old city streets. The evening is scheduled for a boat ride in the placid waters of the Lake Pichola. Overnight on-board the train.

• Day 7 : Vadodara

  On the day, the train enters Vadodara, the city of the Gaekwads. Once you have your breakfast, get down from the train to indulge in sightseeing, including city's popular attractions such as the beautiful Jama Masjid. You also get a chance to explore the historic city of Gujarat, Champaner, founded way back in the 8th century. Here you visit the World Heritage site of Pavagadh Archaeological Park. The last visit of the day is to the Maharaja Fateh Singh Museum. City tour is followed by an enthralling folk dance performance at the Laxmi Vilas Palace and then sumptuous dinner including a wide range of authentic Gujarati dishes from the kitchen of the royalty. Overnight on-board the train.

The above costs are per cabin per Journey.
Government Service tax of 3.61% is additional and will be charged extra on the published tariff.
As the train runs on the tracks of the Indian Railways, the itineraries are subject to change incase of any changes in the routing etc.
Prices are subject to change incase of any amendment in the routing or other hikes such as fuel,taxes etc.
Children below 5 years of age shall be allowed free, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
Presidential Suite can accommodate upto 3 adults or 2 Adults and 2 children (One child upto 5 years of age and second child up to 12 years of age) CHILD.

Child Policy

Deccan Odyssey does accommodate children but we ask parents to be mindful of the sophisticated adult atmosphere we endeavor to maintain.
One child up to 5 years of age shall be allowed free of cost in the Deluxe Cabin, subject to sharing of double bed with parents. This is subject to availability of double bed at the time of booking.
For families, with a child between 6-12 years of age, or, with two children with one child below 5 years and another between 6-12 years, we recommend the Presidential Suite which has a double bed in the bedroom and can be shared with a child below 5 years and a sofa cum bed in the living room which can accommodate the older child. In this case, the child/children will be accommodated free of cost.
In case of two children between 6-12 years of age travelling with their parents, you will have to take 2 cabins. The first child pays 25% of the adult fare and the second child will have to pay 50% of the adult fare. One of the parents will have to be present with the child / children in the cabin.
Please note that we do not have the facility for interconnecting cabins.
All applicable taxes will be charged extra.

Payment:

20% of the ticket value at the time of booking
80% of the ticket value 45 days before the departure date
Cancellation:

Any cancellation must be advised immediately by Email and subsequently confirmed by letter to the Central Reservation Division
No cancellation on cancelling 60 days prior to the departure date
Retention of 20% of ticket value on cancelling 59 - 45 days prior to the departure date
Retention of 50% of ticket Value on cancelling 44 - 30 days prior to the departure date
Retention of 100% of ticket value on cancelling 29 days prior to the departure date
