Package Overview

This Safari Trail takes you to the most famous park in Kenya. All accommodation will be in very comfortable permanent tented camp in which you have options to 3choose your preference. You will be touring in a luxury private safari vehicle with a Driver guide all throughout your safari and back to Nairobi.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : ARRIVAL NAIROBI

  You will be picked up at the airport intime for your Nairobi Flight. Upon arrival you will check in and have dinner on own account.

• Day 2 : NAIROBI - SAMBURU

  Approximately 5hrs to 6hrs drive
  You will be picked up from the hotel and drive to Samburu National Reserve which lies 325 km north of Nairobi in the hot and arid periphery of the vast northern region of Kenya. The Reserve is within the lands of the colorful Samburu people, close relatives of the Maasai, and harbours a number of wildlife species found only north of the equator; these include Grevy's zebra, the reticulated giraffe and the Beisa Oryx. Samburu Reserve offers unique vistas of rounded and rugged hills and undulating plains. The mix of wood and grassland with riverine forest and swamp is home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife. Arrive for lunch and later proceed on an afternoon game drive until sunset.

• Day 3 : SAMBURU FULL DAY

  Spend a further day in this Reserve where game viewing and visibility is excellent. Bird life is superb with over 380-recorded species and game includes reticulated giraffes, Grevy’s zebras, elephants, Oryx, Somali ostrich, hippos, crocodiles, gerenuk, buffaloes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. The long-necked gerenuk is a graceful antelope which spends much of its time in a bi-pedal stance seeking succulence among the withered scrub which dots this harsh terrain. Scenically, for most of the year Samburu is under the unsympathetic equatorial sun. Relief comes from the Ewaso Ng’iro River which rises some hundreds of kilometers to the west on the foothills of the Aberdares and which vanishes beyond Samburu in the recess of the Lorian swamp.

• Day 4 : SAMBURU – OL PAJETA CONSERVANCY

  Approximately 2hrs to 3hrs drive
  You will be picked up from the hotel by one of our representative and proceed north, driving through lush tea and coffee estates Nanyuki . Sweetwater’s land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy with its huge ranch was once a private property of the famed Saudi Arabian multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. You will arrive in time for lunch. After lunch. We will visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and refuge to over 40 species of black rhinos. Sweetwater’s boasts of excellent game viewing experience with the highest ratio of game to area among any other parks or reserves in Kenya.

  Approximately 4hrs to 5hrs drive
  After breakfast you will drive to Lake Nakuru. Upon arrival Have lunch and later enjoy the evening game drive. After the game drive you will be back to the camp ready for dinner.

  After breakfast you will drive to Masai Mara, so named to mean the “spotted plains” in the Maa language. This is home to the greatest concentration of large mammals and is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife reserve. The park is the northern extension to the vast Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, famous for its annual migration of wildebeest. Arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive until sunset in this spectacular place of breathtaking sceneries, never-ending plains and the most abundant variety of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The landscape is made up of rolling savannahs dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets.

  After game drive you will check out with picnic lunch boxes and enjoy thelast game drive. After the game drive you will be dropped at the airstrip 30 minutes to the flight. You will fly to ukunda at 2pm arriving in ukunda at4:25pm. Upon arrival at Ukunda you will be picked up by the driver guide and drive to Chale Island. You will check in time for dinner. Have dinner and relax.
