This 3-day trek takes you through the highlands’ unique terrain, exploring remote villages, scenic viewpoints, and wildlife areas outside the main crater, offering an authentic Tanzanian trekking experience. Morning: Pick up from your hotel in Arusha or nearby areas. Drive approximately 3-4 hours through scenic highland landscapes toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop for lunch en route. Afternoon: Begin your trek from the chosen trailhead (depending on client fitness and permit). Hike through highland meadows and rolling hills, enjoying views of the crater rim. Evening: Set up camp or check in at a lodge/camp in the highlands. Dinner and overnight stay.

Morning: Breakfast at camp/lodge. Trek through the highlands, passing local Maasai villages, forests, and volcanic hills. Optional short detours to viewpoints overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater or surrounding escarpments. Afternoon: Picnic lunch on the trail. Continue trekking through scenic landscapes, enjoying flora, birdlife, and smaller wildlife sightings. Evening: Arrive at the second campsite or lodge. Dinner and overnight stay under the stars in the highlands.
