3D Fly In Samburu Safari Packages From Nairobi

9:00 am – Just tell us where you’d like to be picked up – your hotel, residence, or another place of your choosing. Our Africa Kenya Safaris driver will be by to bring you to nearby Wilson Airport for your short flight to Samburu Reserve.

As you sail above Kenya’s fields and homesteads you may get dramatic views of snow-capped Mt. Kenya, Africa’s second-highest mountain.

You’ll touch down at an airstrip near the park where your driver/guide will greet you in a private 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. Hop in and we’ll begin our first game drive of the safari as you are brought to your Samburu accommodation.

The vastness of Samburu’s long plains will impress along with the ribbon of green cutting through the park: the Ewaso Ng’iro River, which provides life-giving waters for wildlife.

Toward late afternoon, we’ll head back to your safari lodge or tented camp to refresh, relax and enjoy dinner.

We’re on safari time now, so let’s be up early as the wildlife, especially the big cats emerge into the cool of the new day.

The park is a haven for elephants so we shouldn’t have to look long to find the big tusked creatures at their watering holes or the banks of the Ewaso Ng’iro.

Your guide will also be keeping an eye out for some rare and endangered species that are unique to Samburu – reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx, gerenuk, and African wild dogs.

Of course, the park offers opportunities to spot lion, leopard, cheetah, and more.

Time permitting, we may take side trips to nearby Shaba and Buffalo Reserves, with their greener landscapes and small game.

If you wish, we can switch gears, and make an optional visit to a local Samburu village. These indigenous people live as they always have, herding their livestock and living off the land. You can visit their homes, observe their culture and ceremonies, and have a close-up experience of a different way of life.

Toward evening we’ll head back to our Samburu accommodation for a relaxing dinner.

It’s our final safari morning so let’s pack in some more game drives and see who we can discover. Then it’s breakfast at our lodge or safari camp.

By now you’re really getting to know the park and might have suggestions for some last minutes explorations on your way back to the airstrip.

Your plane is waiting for you and the easy, scenic flight back to Nairobi. We’ll meet you at Wilson Airport and bring you to the place of your choosing.
