Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Guwahati to Shillong.

  Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) or railway station.
  
  Begin your scenic drive to Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, known as the "Scotland of the East."
  
  On the way, you'll stop at the beautiful Umiam Lake, also known as Barapani. You can enjoy water sports or simply admire the view.
  
  Check into your hotel in Shillong and spend the evening exploring the city's main market area, Police Bazaar.

• Day 2 : Shillong Sightseeing.

  After breakfast, explore the local attractions of Shillong.
  
  Visit Shillong Peak for a panoramic view of the city and surrounding hills.
  
  Head to the picturesque Elephant Falls, a three-tiered waterfall.
  
  Other possible visits include Ward's Lake (a horseshoe-shaped lake), Lady Hydari Park, and the Don Bosco Museum to learn about the local culture and history.

• Day 3 : Shillong to Cherrapunji.

  Check out of your hotel in Shillong and drive to Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth.
  
  On the way, you can stop at the breathtaking Laitlum Grand Canyon, known for its stunning views.
  
  In Cherrapunji, you'll visit famous waterfalls like the majestic Nohkalikai Falls (India's tallest plunge waterfall) and the Seven Sisters Falls.
  
  Explore the natural limestone formations inside Mawsmai Cave and Arwah Cave.
  
  Check into your hotel or resort in Cherrapunji for the night.

• Day 4 : Cherrapunji and the Living Root Bridges.

  This day is for adventure and nature.
  
  The main highlight is the trek to the Double-Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village. This is a challenging trek with many steps, but the unique natural architecture is a rewarding sight.
  
  If time and energy permit, you can continue the trek to the beautiful Rainbow Falls.
  
  You might also visit other falls in the area, such as Dainthlen Falls and Wei Sawdong Falls.
  
  Return to your hotel in Cherrapunji for an overnight stay.

• Day 5 : Mawlynnong and Dawki.

  After breakfast, you'll travel to Mawlynnong, famously known as "Asia's Cleanest Village."
  
  Explore the village and its unique attractions like the Single-Decker Living Root Bridge and the Balancing Rock.
  
  From Mawlynnong, drive to Dawki.
  
  Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River in Dawki, where you can see the riverbed through the transparent water. You can also try activities like kayaking and zip-lining.
  
  Later in the evening, you will return to Shillong for your final night. Some itineraries might include an overnight stay in Dawki.

  Enjoy a final breakfast at your hotel in Shillong.
  
  You will be transferred back to Guwahati Airport or railway station for your departure, taking with you memories of Meghalaya's pristine beauty.
