Guwahati and Kaziranga National Park This itinerary focuses on the two most iconic destinations in Assam. The extra time allows for deeper exploration of the national park and the city of Guwahati.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival in Guwahati.

  Arrive at Guwahati Airport (GAU) or railway station. You'll be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can visit the Kamakhya Temple, a major pilgrimage site, or enjoy a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River.

• Day 2 : Guwahati to Kaziranga National Park.

  After breakfast, travel to Kaziranga National Park (a 5-6 hour drive). Check into your resort and relax. In the afternoon, you might be able to go on a jeep safari in the park's Western or Central range to spot the one-horned rhinoceros.

• Day 3 : Kaziranga Safaris.

  Wake up early for the highlight of the trip: an elephant safari in the morning to get up close with the wildlife. In the afternoon, you'll go on another jeep safari to explore a different range of the park. You can also visit the Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park.

• Day 4 : Kaziranga to Guwahati.

  After a leisurely breakfast, start your return journey to Guwahati. The drive offers scenic views of the tea gardens. Upon arrival, you'll have some free time for last-minute souvenir shopping or to visit any sights you missed on the first day.

  Enjoy breakfast and then be transferred to the airport or railway station for your onward journey.
