Nairobi is a lively bustling city at 1870m above sea level with a modern prosperous centre and efficient services. On arrival you will be picked up from JKIA by a company representative and transferred to your hotel where you will be assisted in check-in. Spend your first night in the capital and participate in a welcome dinner where you will receive a brief of your safari. After an early morning breakfast in Nairobi travel south to Amboseli National Park which sits against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is in the semi-arid part of the country and is usually hot and dry but is fed by an underground water supply filtered through volcanic rock from Kilimanjaro's ice cap funneling into clear water springs at the heart of the park. You will reach your safari camp in time for the included lunch take a tour of your safari camp and have an afternoon game drive. One of the highlights is viewing large herds of elephants noted for their intact social structure. Accommodation is Tawi Lodge Luxury lodge located inside Tawi Conservancy Amboseli NP. After breakfast depart the Amboseli safari camp heading towards Lake Nakuru by road. Lake Nakuru is one of the soda lakes of the Rift Valley known for its flamingos. Take an afternoon game drive through the park keeping an eye out for wildlife such as zebras monkeys rhinos and the black and white varieties. The lake is famed for the beautiful sight of hundreds of thousands of flamingos though numbers have diminished in recent years. Head back to your lodge before sunset and sit for an included dinner. Continue the safari to the land of the Maasai the Masai Mara. The reserve is known for the spectacular annual migration of thousands of wildebeest gazelle and zebra which occurs mid-year between July and September. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch after which you will go for your first afternoon game drive keeping an eye out for Africas Big Five and hunt sightings. Head back to your safari camp before nightfall and enjoy the included dinner. Accommodation is Sarova Mara Game Camp Luxury tented camp located inside Masai Mara NR. Begin the day with an early breakfast and set out for a morning game drive across rolling hills waving savanna grasses and acacia trees. Immerse yourself in the Maasai way of life during a visit to a local village. The Masai Mara has a very high density of lions with about 500 in over 1500 square kilometres so watch for possible Big Five hunt scenes during your game drives. Head back to camp after the afternoon game drive and have your dinner and overnight stay on your last night at the Masai Mara. Have breakfast at the Mara and set off for Nairobi. Tour the Karen Blixen Estate a former coffee plantation where the author lived for several years as described in her novel Out of Africa. Enjoy an included lunch at the Karen Blixen Coffee Garden. Spend the afternoon shopping and then you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. No accommodation is provided at the end of the tour and additional accommodation cannot be arranged by this operator. Meals on this day include breakfast and lunch drinks not included.
