7 Days - 6 Nights Mid Range Tour - Safari To Kenya

Distance :Approximately 250 Kms Drive Duration :About 5hours. At the start of our 7 day's tour/Safari, your tour guide will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel at 0700 hrs or JKIA airport. A safari briefing then you will start the 5-hour journey to Masai Mara National Reserve,Kenya's best game reserve with brief stopover at the breathtaking Rift valley valley escarpment.You will view the formation and extension of the great rift and drive to Masai Mara. This drive will give you another chance to view the beautiful flower farms along the floor of the rift valley. You have a brief stopover at Narok town then proceed to arrive at about 1300hrs(pm). Upon arrival you will check in at Zebra Plain Mara Camp, have lunch and relax as you prepare for your first thrilling game drive in the Masai Mara game reserve, one of East Africa's top safari destinations. The game reserve incorporates 1510Km'2 of incredible, wide - open landscapes and fertile reverie woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is a typical open savanna with a mass of amazing wildlife. Return from your first foray into Masai Mara you will have dinner and relax under the stars, falling asleep to the sounds of the bush. Overnight stay at Zebra Plain Mara Camp on full board - basis.

On this day you will take breakfast then depart for a full day game drive with packed lunch. You will also have an optional visit to the Maasai Boma for cultural updates. As you arrive at the village, excited children and adults welcome you with songs and dance, at certain times, one of the dancers will jump up and down gracefully. The jumps are several feet high ! You will be invited to try jumping up and down too, but to your dismay you will be no match for their levitation act. You will then be welcome into one of the homesteads in the village, the village huts ( called manyatta) are made of cow dung and clay plastered over stick frames. It is a memorable experience of its own. You thereafter proceed with your game drive/viewing in search of the big five(5) and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast game reserve. On clear days, the Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunset's well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Maasai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeests. Elephants, buffaloes, Zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It's also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Back to Zebra Plain Mara Camp for overnight stay on a full board basis.

Distance :Approximately 210Kms Drive Duration :About 4hours. Early morning pick up, then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Known all over the world for its flamingoes, it's alkaline and is recognized as being one of the natural wonders of the world. Lake Nakuru is now a rhino sanctuary, harbouring a population of over 40 black and over 60 white rhinos, but the flamingos, of course, have always been the main attraction. At times there may be almost 2 million flamingoes in the residence, forming a stunningly beautiful deep pink band around the edge of the lake shore. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge then have an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight on full board accommodation basis at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

Distance :Approximately 80Kms Drive Duration :About 1hour 30mins. Morning game drive till 0900hrs(am). Return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast you will begin your one hour journey to Lake Lake Naivasha with another game viewing en-route in the park.Later proceed to Lake Naivasha arriving in time for lunch at Mwanzo Lodge Lake Naivasha. Later in the afternoon you shall go to Lake Naivasha for an exciting boat tour to view hippos, exotic birds and small game. This shall be followed by a guided walking safari at the Crescent Island with optional visit to Hell's Gate National park. Later at about 1800hrs(pm) you will return back to your hotel. Overnight on a full board basis at Mwanzo Lodge.

Distance :Approximately 310Kms Drive Duration :About 5 - 6hours. An early morning start and drive to Amboseli National Park. Check-in at Amboseli Sopa Lodge and lunch. Afternoon game drive. Amboseli National Park is situated due south of Nairobi, Most of the park consist of a dry, ancient lake bed and fragile grassland with patches of acacia woodland, while in the southern area there is a number of small, rocky, volcanic hills. Around the swamps of Ol Kenya, Ol Tukai and Enkongo Narok, the vegetation is lush with yellow barked acacias and phoenix palms. Dinner and overnight on a full board basis at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

After breakfast embark on a full-day safari game drive with packed lunch followed by visiting Observation Hill for panoramic views of the whole of Amboseli / get a glimpse of the Africa highest mountain Mt Kilimanjaro.Go on a visit to Masai Village before returning to your Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay on full board basis at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.

Distance :Approximately 230Kms Drive Duration :About 4hours. Morning game drive. Return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast at about 09:30 am, you will begin your 4-hour journey back to the city with wildlife viewing en route in the park. Upon arrival in Nairobi you will stop for lunch at a nice restaurant within Nairobi. After lunch you will be transferred to your city hotel for a deserved rest or to JKIA for your onward travels.(Activities on this day wholly depend on your flight's departure timings ).
