Package Overview

Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrival at Bagdogra / NJP Station to Gangtok.

  Welcome on arrival at Bagdogra Airport. Our representative will meet you and You will proceed to Gangtok “The capital city of Sikkim” is a beautiful and clean town promising of the best monasteries and landscaps. The downtown area is dominated by huge government building decorated with traditional Buddhist symbols. On arrival check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

• Day 2 : Gangtok ( Local sightseeing)

  After breakfast we explore local sightseeing trip visiting Rumtek Monastery, Do Drul Choten, Namgyal Institute of Tibetology Cottage Industry ( closed on Sundays ) The Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok from where you can enjoy the spellbinding view of the Himalayas. and Flower Show Complex. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

• Day 3 : Gangtok ( Excursion trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir )

  After breakfast full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.above the sea level) a journey through rugged mountainous terrain takes us to the most visited lake in Sikkim. On arrival click photos with or take rid of colorfully decorated yaks and mules. Tsomgo lake freezes completely during the winter are much revered by the locals. Later we will proceed to visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial (13200 ft) also known as Baba Mandir built in honour of Sepoy Harbhajan Singh of the 23rd Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army. Return back to Gangtok.Free time to shopping in the evening. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
  
  Notes: Optional tour of Nathula Pass.Rs.5000/- extra per vehicle. Nathula Pass remains closed on Monday and Tuesday. Nathula trip is subject to availability of permit. We require 72 hours prior notice to process the permit.

• Day 4 : Gangtok to Pelling

  After breakfast breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Pelling (6800 ft) Pemayangtse is a very small Himalayan village in West Sikkim. Pelling is the nearest motor able point from Mt. Kanchendzonga, world 3rd highest peak. On the way visit Ravangla. One can enjoy the spectacular Eastern Himalayan range from Pelling. On arrival hotel check in @ rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Pelling

• Day 5 : Pelling sightseeing and Darjeeling drop

  After breakfast we start half day local sightseeing trip covering Darap Valley, Rimbi Waterfalls, Rimbi power Project, Rock Garden and Kangchendzonga falls, Khachoedplri Wish Lake, Pemayangtese Monastery, Rabdentse ruins, Rabdantese view point,Helipad ground. After this sightseeing drive to Darjeeling. On arrival hotel check in @ rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 6 : Darjeeling ( Local sightseeing) .

  Early morning at 4.00 am drive to Tiger Hill to watch the spectacular sun rise over Mt. Kanchendzonga (28208 ft. World’s 3rd highest peak). On your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja. N. Zoological park (closed on Thursday), Tenszing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-help centre (closed on Sunday) Tea garden (outer view) Ava Art Gallery,Ropeway ( At own) and Japanese temple. Evening walk around visit to Mall road.) Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
