Admire top city attractions such as Senate Square – home to Helsinki Cathedral – and Temppeliaukio Church, a place of worship and concert venue that is carved from local bedrock. Pass the functionalist Lasipalatsi building or perhaps hop off at Helsinki Olympic Stadium – Finland’s largest stadium. Architecture harks back to days of Russian and Swedish rule, and the city’s maritime heritage gives its history an interesting edge. Overnight at Hotel.

Breakfast at Hotel. Today we proceed for an Excursion to Porvoo. Travelling by car for approximately 45 minutes you reach the historic town of Porvoo, which first became a shipping port during the 1300's. It soon was home to a bustling community of tradesmen who built a colourful wooden town around the water ways. Today, these wooden buildings remain, under protected status but many of which are still private residences, some to the same families that founded Porvoo. The town has expanded and is also home to a number of new developments, tastefully modern or renovation projects. It is still a bustling community during summer and a favourite in winter for collecting Chrstimas craft gifts. Some free time to explore this city and then return to Helsinki. The streets of the old town are lines with antique, craft and independent stores and food shops. This is the place to pick up souvenirs and local delicacies to take home, as a reminder of your time in Finland. Overnight at Hotel.
