Jomsom Muktinath trek is the most popular trekking trail situated in the Annapurna region towards North of Pokhara. Jomsom Muktinath trek takes you all the way through the classic Annapurna trail offering you Nepal's spectacular diversity at its finest across deep valleys and high mountains encircling the giant Annapurna Range. Moreover the easy access of the lodges and other tea house lying in the main route has attracted many trekkers.
We fly to Jomsom from Pokhara via 35 minutes of our scenic mountain flight. Then trek from Jomsom to Kagbeni (2750m/ 8327ft). Then our trail takes us through the most awe- inspiring environment of Annapurna region ranging from subtropical jungle to a high and dry landscape resembling the Tibetan Plateau wide ranges of peoples. Kagbeni is a place situated in the rocky terrain of highland and pasture land where yak are seen grazing. From Kagbeni we head towards Muktinath which is one of the most popular Hindu pilgrimages site visited by many pilgrims yearly. On the way you get an opportunity to view the spectacular Dhaulagiri massif, moraine where ice meets, glacier flow, the world deepest George Kaligandaki valley. While returning back you can enjoy bathing at natural hot spring in Tatopani which will take off all your weariness of the trek. From Tatopani you will trek back and climb the Poon hill one of the best sunrise view point offering magnificent mountain views. From Poon hill we trek back to Ghandruk village which is a Gurung village where you can Experience their typical rural lifestyle and culture.
Jomsom Muktinath trek is moderate trek which is more cultural and religious trekking trip completing within two weeks.
Arrival
Arrive at Katmandu (1310m/4298ft). Our airport representative will receive you at the airport and transfer you to Hotel. It is 7km and takes about 10 minutes to reach hotel. Overnight at hotel, B & B plan
Pokhara
Drive to Pokhara by tourist bus (910m/2986ft.). This will take about 5 to 6 hours of drive. Overnight at Hotel at 3 stars, AP plan
Jomsom
Early in the morning we fly to Jomsom for 25 to 30 minutes via our scenic mountain flight. Then we trek to Kagbeni (2750m/ 8327ft). This will take 3 to 4 hours of walk. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Muktinath
We trek from Kagbeni to Muktinath (3802m/11512ft). Walking 5 hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Marpha
We trek from Muktinath to Marpha via Jomsom (2665m/8743ft). This will take about 6 hours of walking. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Ghasa
We trek from Marpha to Ghasa (2080m/6824ft). This will take walking for 5 hours. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Tatopani
We trek from Ghasa to Tatopani which (Natural hot spring) (1110m/13361f). This will take about 6 hours of walking. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Shikha
We trek from Tatopani to Shikha(1935m/5859ft). This will take about 5 hours of walking. Overnightat guest house, AP plan
Ghorepani
We trek from Shikha to Ghorepani (2834m/9298ft). This will take 4 to 5 hours of walking. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Trek
We trek from Ghorepani (2834m/9298ft) to Poon Hill (3210m/10531ft) to Tadapani (2520m/8268ft). This will take 6 to 7 hours of continuous walking. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Trek
We trek from Tadapani to Ghaundrung (1950m/6398ft). This will take 3 hours walking. Overnight at guest house, AP plan
Trek
We trek from Tadapani to Nyapul and drive to Pokhara by car for an hour. Walking 5 hours. Overnight at Hotel at 3 stars, AP plan
Katmandu
We drive back to Katmandu by tourist bus. Driving for about 5 to 6 hours, overnight at 3 stars Hotel. MAP plan
Departure
After breakfast transfer to the Airport for departure.
