The Safari to the "Primate's Capital of the World" promises an extra ordinary journey filled with encounters with some our closest cousins whom we share 98.8% of their DNA. Kibale Forest National Park known for having about 1500 Chimpanzees which gives a great opportunity for Chimpanzee Trekking and Habituation, the park is located in Kabarole District Western Uganda. The park is also a home to 120 mammal species like warthogs, bushbucks, bush pigs, antelopes. Primates like black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, olive baboons etc. And over 300 bird species like hornbills, black billed turaco, kingfisher, weavers, cuckoos, purple breasted sunbird and crowned Eagle among others. Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 Pick Up And Arrival At Entebbe International Airport – Transfer To Your Hotel.

Day 1 of the 4 Days in the Primate’s Capital of the World will start with a pick up from Entebbe International Airport by our driver guide from African Sacred Ibis Adventures who will meet and greet, then he will brief you about 4 Days in the Primate’s Capital of the World. Thereafter, he will transfer you to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 Transfer To Kibale Forest National Park

Day 2 of the 4 Days in the Primate’s Capital will start with a delicious breakfast and then embark on a 5-6 hour drive towards Western Uganda including stopovers. On your way to Kibale Forest National Park, you will enjoy captivating views of rolling hills, tea plantations, banana plantations, tropical forests and local villages. Upon arrival, you will check into your Lodge for lunch, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 3 Kibale Forest National Park - Chimpanzee Trekking – Bigodi Wetland

On the 3rd day of the safari, you will rise up to the sounds of the birds singing in the sky. After breakfast, you will be taken to the starting point of Chimpanzee Trekking where you will meet with a ranger guide to brief you about the DOs and DON’Ts of Chimpanzee Trekking. Thereafter, you will go into the forest for 2-4 hours searching for chimpanzees depending on their location. Once you locate a Chimpanzee family, you will spend a maximum of 1 hour with these close cousins of ours. You will learn about their behaviors, how they feed and protect themselves, ask all questions and take pictures as many as possible. After having beautiful moments with our relatives, you will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation as you wait for the next encounter. Later in the afternoon, you will embark on a nature walk in Bigodi Wetland. Bigodi has a thriving population of bird species like the green-breasted pitta and great blue turaco. The swamp is also a haven for other mammals such as sitatungas, bushbucks and otters. Local guides will take you on a tour in the lush vegetation. This is the perfect opportunity to view the wildlife from the forest pathways, boardwalks and atop a tree house tucked high in the canopy. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 Kibale Forest National Park – Crater Lakes Exploration – Transfer Back To Entebbe International Airport Or Your Hotel

After breakfast on the last day of the 4 Days in the Primate’s Capital of the World, you will go on a tour of the beautiful crater lakes just outside the forest. You will hike and view the majestic Crater Lakes, take photos and learn more about these Crater Lakes. After wards, you will embark on a journey back to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or your Hotel. Company Terms And Conditions

a) The client making such inquiries, seeking such advice, requesting such quotations or estimates and who signifies his acceptance of a booking does so on behalf of himself and persons under his authority. Which means that all are bound by the booking conditions as if they had individually made the application themselves and is deemed to have read, understand and accepted the booking conditions of African Sacred Ibis Adventure Tours & Travel. All bookings are made with African Sacred Ibis Adventures Tours & Travel (hereinafter referred to as “the Company “). And no person has any authority on its behalf to vary any of the terms and conditions which are applicable.
b) The client has noted that The Company’ conditions include a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the LAND arrangements cost. Plus the full amount including taxes for the air travel portion (if relevant), plus full payment for any gorilla permits and chimpanzee permits – for each person if required when booking. This booking fee is accepted as part of the inclusive cost of the safari (except permits and air). Once a booking has been confirmed (upon the Agent’s request) these terms will apply to the Client.
c) The full amount due by the Client to the Company, our terms & conditions shall be payable not less than four weeks prior to the date of arrival into Uganda. Bookings made within four weeks of the safari start date must be paid in full immediately. If the full amount is not paid in due time Africa Sacred Ibis Adventures Tours & Travel deserves the right to treat the booking as cancelled.
d) If a booking is cancelled, then, our terms & conditions over and above such cancellation fees as any airline may charge and for which the client will be liable, the following will apply. The Company shall retain the full deposit but any amount paid in excess thereof will be reimbursed to the client. (Except gorilla permits, chimp permits, and any airfare that may be deemed non-refundable). Less than 42 days before arrival, The Company shall retain the full deposit and a cancellation fee will be payable equal to 40% of the land arrangements. Plus up to the full amount of gorilla permits, chimp permits, and any airfare that may be deemed non-refundable.
e) The Company will under no circumstances be liable for any claim whatsoever, unless such claim is due to the negligence of The Company and such claim is lodged in writing with The Company within 30 (thirty) days after the end of the tour.
f) Any payments due by the Client will incur interest from the due date at a rate 2% (two percent) above the prime rate charged by The Company’s bank.
g) Ugandan law and the jurisdiction of Ugandan courts will govern the relationship between the Client and African Sacred Ibis Adventures Tours & Travel.
h) The Client will be liable for all legal fees on an attorney and own Client scale in the event that The Company has to engage a lawyer to enforce any of its rights or otherwise.
