Package Overview

Starting from Guwahati this trip will include all the tourist destination in and on the way to Shillong and Cherapunjee. Nature has bestowed The Abode of the Clouds with breathtaking landscapes, gorgeous waterfalls and a number of virgin caves for the explorers. Meghalaya is one of the wettest places of the earth, with an average annual rainfall as high as 12000mm
.
We indulge our esteemed guests into trekking, cave expedition, swimming in the freshwater of the stream at various places and many other adventurous and non-adventurous activities according their request and preference. Monsoon is the best time to visit Meghalaya as the streams becomes wider and the Waterfalls can be witnessed in their full glory.

THINGS TO NOTE:
1) Please note rooms are subject to availability. We are not holding any rooms.
2) It is mandatory to carry photo ID card while you are on tour.
3) The vehicle which will not be at your disposal and will be exclusively used for the guest as per the itinerary only (on point to point basis).
4) Difference in cost may arise due to change in Taxes by the Government.
5) Difference in cost may arise due to extra usage of vehicle, other than scheduled & mentioned in the itinerary.
6) Difference in cost may arise due to mishaps, political unrest, natural calamities like - landslides, road blockage, etc. In such case extra will have to be paid on the spot by the guest directly.
7) All hotels do not have lift facility & the guest may have to climb stairs. In case of guests having health related problems or if they cannot climb the higher floors, we will request you to report this problem at the time of booking so that we may take appropriate action. This is again subject to availability.
8) Consumption and serving of alcohol in hotels / rooms is subject to hotel’s rules and regulations. In some hotels, consumption of alcohol is not allowed.
9)The region’s prime tourist interest in its Nature and eco-friendly atmosphere. The facilities available here cannot be matched with other developed destinations. Many accommodations will have basic facilities compared with other regions. Please inform tourists that this region can be enjoyed in its natural beauty and simple flavour.
10) Many regions do not have star category hotels. Similar category hotels with the best available room will be provided. We will try our best to maintain similarity. In all hotel Extra Person Sharing the Room, Child With Extra Bed, will be provided MATTRESS / ROLL OVERS as per requirement.
11)In the region, scarcity of water & electricity is a natural phenomenon. Guests are requested to bear with such problems as may arise during the tour.
12) Carriers in vehicles are not allowed in many places in the region. Availability of vehicle with carrier cannot be guaranteed.
13) We reserve the rights to make changes or omit any place of visit, if it becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band, security reason etc.
14) Kindly inform us if the guests are senior citizens or have health related issues (like arthritis, heart problems etc.) or any such matter which might need special arrangements. Some itineraries will not be suitable for them and we will suggest accordingly.
15) During Rainy season, heavy showers are possible and many times tarpaulin may not cover the entire luggage because of the nature of heavy showers. In such case, luggage will have to be loaded inside the vehicle. The guests will have to adjust to such situations.

Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 :

Our representative will welcome you at the airport/railway station/or any desired location in Guwahati. He/she would then hand over the itinerary along with other documents necessary for the tour.

Tour Starts :

Travel to shillong, enroute enjoy boating in the beautiful Umiam lake (barapani). Upon reaching shillong Visit Don Bosco Museum and Ward's Lake.

Stay overnight at shillong.

Day 2 :

Travel to Laitlum and visit the Grand canyons, just enjoy the view of the magnificent gorges and winding stairways. You may also pack some snacks and eatables for a small picnic at this gorgeous location.

Next travel to the Mawphlang and visit the sacred groove - A Forest that has been preserved by traditional religious sanction, since the ancient days. A guide would assist you in knowing its significance.

From Mawphlang travel back to Shillong and visit the Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak.

Stay overnight at Shillong.

Day 3 :

Early morning after breakfast travel to dawki, where you can visit the Indo-Bangladesh border and also enjoy boating in the crystal clear waters of the Umngot River. However, the water remains clear only during the winters and it becomes muddy once the monsoon arrives.

From Dawki travel to Mawlynnong Village (awarded the cleanest village in asia) and also visit the magnificent living root bridge. The living root bridges are a showcase of dexterity of the locals and also their closeness to nature.

From mawlynnong travel to cherrapunjee for overnight stay.

Day 4 :

Sightseeing at Cherrapunjee. Visit the Nohkalikai falls, Seven sisters falls, the eco park, the mawsmai caves, the arwah caves and dainthlen falls.

Stay overnight at Cherrapunjee.

*** If you wish, you can also go for - "Trekking to the double decker living Root bridge". An extra day would be added. Please note that the trek is not recommended for senior citizens and children below 12 yrs.

Day 5 :

Drop to the Guwahati airport/railway station or any other desried location inside Guwahati metropolitan area.
