You will be met at the airport and transferred to the capital of Bhutan, Thimpu, for a one night stay.
City tour of Thimpu, perhaps the most unusual capital city in the world. Visit Trashichho Dzong and the National Library. This afternoon journey by road to Punakha over the Dochula Pass at an altitude of 3088m. Overnight Punakha.
Visit the beautiful Punakha Dzong built in 1637 with its towering walls and riverside location. Continue to Wangduephodrang with its formidable Dzong. After lunch, journey to Paro for a two night stay.
Morning excursion to the spectacular Taktsang monastery (Tiger’s Nest). The monastery is perched on a rocky ledge with a sheer drop of over 800m. Evening visit to the National Museum, formerly a watch-tower built to defend Rinpung Dzong.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for onward flight.
