Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : Arrive Colombo – Dambulla (4 hrs)

  On arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed and escorted to the vehicle. Then you will proceed to Negombo. En route visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage was established to shelter young elephants abandoned by their mothers or displaced from their natural environment by development projects. Most of the orphans cannot be introduced back into the wild, as other elephant family groups will not accept them but many find good foster homes in zoos around the world. It is wonderful watch them during feeding or bathing time. Proceed to Anuradhapura Overnight at Dambulla.

• Day 2 : Dumbulla- Kandy

  After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Kandy. In the morning visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress – It is named as one of the wonders of the ancient World. It is a UNESCO world Heritage site. Sig iriya was an ancient Castle used both as a palace and a Fortress created by King Kasyapa. The amazing ingenuity and creativity of this fortress has attracted people from all over the world and the remaining ruins and art are stunning enough to admire the Ancient Sri Lankan Architectural traditions. The magnificent rock fortress of Sigiriya is visible for miles from all directions and dominates the surrounding plain. The Sigiriya Complex consists of the central rock, which arises abruptly 200 meters above the surrounding plain with the two rectangular precincts on the east and the west. The rock is surrounded by two wide moats, where crocodiles were introduced in ancient times and three ramparts. The moats and walls that surround the lower palace are still exquisitely later visit the Dambulla Cave Temples. Explore the areas around Dambulla. Dambulla is a part of the Cultural Triangle declared by UNESCO. You can visit the Cave Temples in Dambulla. There are over 80 caves in the surrounding and some of them have been used by the monks as meditation locations. Major attractions are spread over 5 caves, which contain the statues and the paintings. Continue journey to Kandy, visit the Spice Garden For centuries, spices have been one of Sri Lanka's most celebrated exports. Spices are mostly grown in home gardens (as a home industry) and used not only to flavor food but also in medicine and cosmetics. While visiting a Spice Garden you could sample such scents and flavors as cinnamon, ginger, pepper, vanilla, cardamom and many more. In evening enjoy the cultural Show. Overnight at Kandy. (B)

• Day 3 : Kandy- Bentota

  After breakfast City tour of Kandy. Visit the Dalada Maligawa, the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dālada) of the Buddha that is the most venerated object of worship for Buddhists. Here, one of the Buddha's teeth is kept. The temple was built in the 17th century. A golden canopy has been added recently. , visit the Peradeniya Botanical Gardens which is a paradise for nature lovers. The best-known attraction of the garden is the orchid House, which houses more than 300 varieties of exquisite orchids. A spice garden located here gives you a firsthand account of the trees and plants used in the traditional Ayurvedic medicine. In the afternoon continue the journey to Bentota. Bentota is the city of the Golden Beaches. You will be able to relax and feel the spirit of the sea and the warmth of the soft sand. The dawning of the sun and the setting of the sun reflects on the waves which shine with its smooth movements. Overnight at Bentota.(B)

• Day 4 : Bentota

  Breakfast at Hotel, enjoy a boat ride along the Madhu River(entrance excluded). It is a scenic tour relaxing and interesting while passing many islets forested with mangroves and experience the natural rhythms as well. Visit the turtle hatchery (entrance excluded). The Turtle Hatchery was open by the Wild life Protection Society in 1981.Visitors can see huge tanks filled with new born turtle hatchlings. After being fed, the baby turtles are taken to the sea and released when they are 2-4 days old, usually during the safer hours of darkness. The afternoon is free to relax at the beach. Overnight at Bentota. (B)

• Day 5 : Bentota- Colombo

  After breakfast proceed to Colombo. Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka. Colombo stretches along the we stern shore of Sri Lanka for nine miles. It is not just a simple city of one and a half million people, but a metropolis, where different ethnic groups, religions and cultures intermingle. Here the contrast between high raise hotels and colonial mansions, supermarkets and street bazaars, dazzling cars and motor-rickshaws is fascinating to behold. In the evening City Tour in Dazzling Colombo, visit significant places & sites in & around, Old Parliament, Independence square, Time for quick bargain, shop at ODEL, House of fashion, Noritake ceramic & souvenir shop “Lak Medura” Overnight at Colombo. (B)

• Day 6 : Depart Colombo

  After breakfast at the hotel you will be transferred to the airport for the departure (depending on the flight schedule) (B)
