There are two Thai boxing stadiums in Bangkok: the original, Rachadamnoen Stadium, and the newer Lumpini Stadium. They are famous not only for producing leading Thai boxers, but also for promoting the art of Thai boxing, both domestically and internationally.
These Thai Boxing stadiums have also produced many western boxers that went on to become world Champions. Domestically, promoters work to further the careers of the boxers while providing entertainment to all who are interested in this sport.
Rachadamnoen Stadium is located in the city center on Rachadamnoen Road.
Opening Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday: 18:00-23:00.
Lumpini Boxing Stadium, on Ramintra Road, is situated near Don Muang Airport and holds up to 5,000 spectators in a purpose-built, air-conditioned stadium.
Opening Hours: Tuesday and Friday: 18:30-23:00; Saturday: 16:00-20:00 and 20:15-24:00.
