Parasnath Hills – Bokaro

Parasnath Hills comprises a range of hills that are spread in a part of the Giridih district (Jharkhand, India). These hills are known as the most revered religious place for Jains, as twenty out of twenty four Jain Tirthankaras including Parasnath, attained moksha here in the Parasnath hills. The popular Jain pilgrimage i.e. Shikharji also lies at the peak of Parasnath Hills, which is about 1350 metres high.

It Is Famous For:-
1) Certain temples on the hills date back to 2000 BC, but a majority of temples belong to the recent times.
2) Pilgrims and visitors come to experience the divine aura of this hill, which is believed to bring peace and tranquility in one's life.
3) Apart from a divine experience, one can also relish the true delight of foods served in the nearby area, which enhance your experience even more.
4) The hill is a nature lover's paradise too, as one can get to see different exotic vegetation while climbing up the hill.

Best Time To Visit:-
Months starting from October to March considered best to mark arrival at the holy site. The weather remains soothing and it's neither scorching nor raining in the period.
