Garissa has a very hot climate. The days have extremely high temperature but nights are mild and pleasant.
Transportation
Garissa is small town which can be explored on foot. But still the taxis are easily available and quite cheap also. The roads aren't smooth and have got numerous potholes that it becomes impassable. Cycling is a good option to move around inside the city. It is inexpensive as well as perfect way to experience the beauty of the city.
Shopping and Entertainment
You can buy traditional Somali curio items such as dhiil, ameel and an array of calabashes, as there are not many hopping complexes here. Local handicrafts and souvenirs are the only thing you can shop for.
Garissa has several attractive side streets with typical brightly-painted fronts of the houses and shops. Roam around in these clean streets and experience the royalty attached. The awe inspiring landscapes and beautiful sights are worth admiring. Garissa offers a rich wildlife which must be explored.
