Day 1. Fly to Kisumu from Nairobi and visit the Impala sanctuary

Day 2. After breakfast tour Ruma national park the whole day.

Day 3. Drive to Masai Mara where you will have an afternoon game drive.

Day wise Itinerary

• Day 1 : KISUMU

  Depart Nairobi in the morning by a flight to the vibrant lake city of Kisumu. On arrival, you will be picked up and taken to the Impala sanctuary. The sanctuary hosts impalas, the rare Sitatunga antelope as well as big cats, buffaloes, giraffes, cheetahs and several primate species. At around midday, check in and have lunch. After lunch you can relax at the hotel with optional boat rides in the lake at your own cost.

  After breakfast you will head to Ruma National Park through Kendu bay and Homa bay towns. On arrival in the park, you will enjoy game drives and chances of seeing Africa’s rarest antelope called the Roan Antelope. The park is the only protected area in Kenya where the globally threatened blue swallow is recorded. At around midday, you will have packed lunch. After lunch continue with game drives. Depart the park around 3PM and drive back to Kisumu. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

You will traverse the reserve, encountering various wildlife, including the Big Five. Around midday, you will take a break and have lunch under an acacia tree. Continue with game drives after lunch. In the late afternoon, as you head back to the lodge, you have the option to visit a Masai village at an extra cost. Once at the lodge, you can relax around a bonfire or head to your room for the night.
