Day 1

Day 1 Diani Beach - Shimba Hills National Reserve

Pick up from your hotel in Diani Beach to Shimba Hills Reserve (Approx. 46.7 km, 1 hr 4 min) After breakfast, depart for the lush Shimba Hills, a haven for rare wildlife such as the sable antelope and a vibrant array of bird species. Enjoy a guided game drive through the enchanting rainforest and open grasslands, where you may encounter elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and playful baboons. Embark on a scenic walk to the magnificent Sheldrick Falls before enjoying a sumptuous lunch at Shimba Lodge. In the afternoon, continue with a game drive back to the lodge for a relaxing evening.
Dinner and overnight stay at Shimba Hills Lodge on a full-board basis.

Day 2 Shimba Hills National Reserve Guided Game Drive

Shimba Hills National Reserve offers a captivating blend of coastal rainforest, rolling grasslands, and exceptional wildlife viewing, complemented by a guided hike to Sheldrick Falls. Typically starting with an early hotel pick-up, your adventure begins with a 4×4 safari through the reserve, where you may encounter elephants, the rare sable antelope, giraffes, buffalo, and a rich variety of birdlife. This is followed by a guided ~2 km trek to Sheldrick Falls, with the option to swim in its refreshing pools. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a lodge overlooking the waterholes, and, time permitting, embark on a second game drive before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3 Shimba Hills National Reserve – Diani Beach

Breakfast and have last game drive, through misty forested hills, grasslands, and dramatic escarpments with views toward the Indian Ocean. Shimba Hills is famous for its large population of rare sable antelopes, elephants (though sometimes elusive), giraffes, buffalo, and many smaller mammals. Birdlife is prolific, with hornbills, sunbirds, and raptors. Before noon, drive back to Diani Beach drop-off at your hotel for relaxations.

Please Note:
• Taxes, park fees, concession fees, VAT exemptions, and other taxes are based in Oﬃcial Government legislation at booking time. Should any of these be changed by the Government of Tanzania, Go Extra Mile Safaris of Tanzania reserves the right to amend the rates accordingly.
• If accommodation is full at the time of the booking, comparable alternatives will be suggested (according to availability)
• Transport on safari is provided in 4-wheel-drive vehicles. City and other similar transfers may be provided in minivans. The company reserves the right to employ the services of subcontractors where necessary.
Booking Terms & Conditions:
• To confirm our clients' reservation, Go Extra Mile Safaris requires a 25% deposit payment at the time of making your booking. Failure to do so will result in your reservation automatically being canceled.
• The balance of payment is due 8 weeks (60 days) before the commencement date of your itinerary. Bookings made within 8 weeks (60 days) before departure are subject to full prepayment at the time of confirming the reservation.
• Please note that should you have been quoted in foreign currency and wish to settle payment using a credit card, your quotation will be converted to Tanzanian Shillings before the transaction is processed due to foreign exchange regulations by the Bank of Tanzania. The rate of exchange on the day that the transaction is processed will be used to determine the equivalent Shilling amount, with any resulting foreign exchange differences or bank charges being for the client's account. The Bank of Tanzania prohibits Tanzanian companies from taking foreign credit card payments and keeping the payment in foreign currency. The payment has to be converted to Tanzanian shillings before it is credited to the recipient. Clients are welcome to settle payment employing a bank transfer - in this instance, the amount will be converted by your bankers on presentation of our invoice.
• It is the client's responsibility to inform and instruct their bankers that the net invoice amount must equal the funds clearing into the Go Extra Mile Safaris bank account and that ALL bank charges are to be borne by the client's account.

Standard Cancellation Policy:
• Penalty of 10% if you cancel more than 60 days before your tour
• 20% penalty if you cancel between 30 and 60 days earlier
• a penalty of 50% if you cancel with 15 to 30 days' notice
• a 75% penalty if you cancel with 7 to 14 days' notice,
• a penalty of 100% if you cancel with less than a week's notice
• Oﬃcial Govt Fees paid remain Non-refundable
