Nairobi – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses Camp.
Depart Nairobi in the morning to Nanyuki arriving in time for lunch. Crossing the Equator to Sirimon gate 2660m. We trek through the Bamboo and giant heather zone forest before getting to high altitude moorland at our first camp Old Moses Camp 3300 m for dinner and overnight.

Old Moses Camp – Shipton Camp 4200 M.
After breakfast leave the camp and follow the track uphill forking right at the junction and after a short break continue crossing Ontulili river. Proceed through the river before turning right through the Moorland crossing the Liki River. Proceed through Mackinders Valley with the best scenery to the Shipton Camp.

Full Day Acclimatization At Shipton 4200 M.
This day will be spent on acclimatization short hikes are allowed on the summit or climb to Oblong and Hausberg tarns before returning to the camp for lunch. The afternoon will be spent at leisure and your advised to sleep early because the following day will be attempting the summit.

Shipton Point Lenana 4985 M – Mount Kenya Bandas 2800 M.
Early morning departure at 3 am to the summit the walk that takes 3 hrs to point Lenana 4985 m arriving in the morning time for the sunrise with the view of Kilimanjaro weather allowing. After sunrise, descend to Minto’s hut for a full breakfast and later descend down through the Gorges valley to Mount Kenya Bandas for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast descend down through a Bamboo forest and you will be met by your guide with a Vehicle transfer to Chogoria Town and later drive to Nairobi.
