Day 1 Machame Gate (1,800m) To Machame Camp (3,000m)

Distance: 11 km Hiking Time: 5–7 Hours Habitat: Rainforest Meals: Lunch & Dinner Overnight: Machame Camp After breakfast, transfer from Moshi to Machame Gate for registration. Begin your trek through the lush rainforest, passing towering trees, colorful flowers, and wildlife such as black-and-white colobus monkeys. Arrive at Machame Camp for dinner and your first overnight on the mountain.

Day 2 Machame Camp (3,000m) – Shira Camp (3,840m)

Mount Meru

Distance: 5 km Hiking Time: 4–6 Hours Habitat: Moorland Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Overnight: Shira Camp Leave the rainforest behind and ascend into the heath and moorland zone. Enjoy spectacular views of Mount Meru, the Shira Plateau, and Kibo Peak before arriving at Shira Camp for dinner and overnight.

After lunch, rest, organize your climbing gear, and receive a summit briefing. An early dinner is followed by a few hours of sleep before the midnight ascent.

Distance: 17 km Hiking Time: 10–15 Hours Habitat: Arctic Zone & Rainforest Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner Overnight: Mweka Camp Around midnight, begin your summit attempt under the stars. Climb past Stella Point (5,739m) before reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your achievement, take unforgettable photos, then descend to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp for your final night on the mountain.
