7 Days Tanzania Wildlife Safari

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by a professional safari guide and transferred to Arusha National Park for the first safari experience. Arusha National Park offers varied wildlife and scenic landscapes with views of Mount Meru. You will enjoy a game drive with opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography, then transfer to your hotel for relaxation and overnight. Driving times provided include approximately 1 hour from the airport to Arusha National Park and approximately 45 minutes from Arusha National Park to the hotel.

After breakfast depart for a full day at Lake Manyara National Park where you will undertake a full day game drive. The park is scenic and known for tree climbing lions, large mammals and groundwater forest habitats. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park, then drive in the late afternoon to Karatu for dinner and overnight. Driving times include approximately 2.5 hours from Arusha to Lake Manyara and approximately 40 minutes from Lake Manyara to Karatu.

After an early breakfast depart Karatu and travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands into the endless plains of Central Serengeti. Enjoy the scenic journey and enter one of Africas greatest wildlife destinations. In the afternoon undertake a game drive in Central Serengeti where abundant predators and plains wildlife can be encountered. June is noted as an excellent period for wildlife viewing in Central Serengeti as large herds begin moving across the ecosystem. Driving time from Karatu to Central Serengeti is approximately 4 hours including game viewing en route.

A full day safari in Central Serengeti with packed lunch offers extensive wildlife viewing and predator activity. Your experienced safari guide will explore different wildlife areas across the Central Serengeti to maximize sightings of predators and large herbivores. Full day game drives within Serengeti provide opportunities to witness hunting behavior, large herds and diverse species across varied plains habitat.

After breakfast enjoy a final morning game drive in Central Serengeti, then proceed towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend to Karatu for relaxation. This travel day combines morning wildlife viewing with transfer scenery. Driving time from Central Serengeti to Karatu is approximately 4 hours including game viewing en route.

After an early breakfast descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half day game drive on the crater floor. Ngorongoro is a premier wildlife destination and home to the Big Five and numerous other species. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor surrounded by dramatic scenery, then return to the lodge for relaxation. Driving time to Ngorongoro gate is approximately 30 minutes and the crater descent and game drive form a full safari activity day.

After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park for the final safari experience. Tarangire is renowned for large elephant herds, baobab trees and vibrant savannah wildlife often gathered around the Tarangire River. After enjoying a final game drive and picnic lunch in Tarangire, drive back to Arusha where the safari concludes. Driving times include approximately 2.5 hours from Karatu to Tarangire and approximately 2.5 hours from Tarangire to Arusha.
