8days 7nights Maasai Mara - Lake Nakuru N.p - Lake Naivasha - Amboseli N. P

Pickup at 7:30am at City Market Nairobi followed by a safari briefing and drive north ascending the Great Rift Valley with scenic views and photography opportunities. Stop at Narok town for refueling then proceed to Maasai Mara arriving around 1:30pm at the camp or lodge. After check in take lunch, freshen up and go for an introductory evening game viewing drive from 3:30pm. The Maasai Mara features smooth grass plains, acacia trees, rich faunal diversity and the Mara River which is the site of the annual wildebeest and zebra migration in July and August.

Early breakfast at 6:00am then a full day of game viewing drives across the savannah and rolling hills of Maasai Mara. Enjoy sightings of large herds, predators including lions, leopards and cheetahs, elephants and other wildlife. Picnic bush lunch at the hippo pools near the Mara River famous for migration sightings. Return to camp or lodge in the afternoon then visit a Maasai Manyatta for a cultural tour where you learn about Maasai dances, fire making, Manyatta construction, traditional medicine and local crafts. Evening spent relaxing at camp with nature walks, photography, dinner, bonfire and overnight stay.

Another full day of game drives in Maasai Mara starting after early morning breakfast. Opportunity to see predators hunting and a diverse array of wildlife and bird species. Picnic lunch in the park and further afternoon game viewing. Evening return to camp or lodge for dinner, bonfire and overnight stay.

After breakfast at 8:00am and check out at 8:30am depart Maasai Mara and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park with a stop for lunch enroute. Arrive at Nakuru in the evening, check in at the hotel, refresh and have dinner with overnight stay in Nakuru.

Early breakfast at 7:00am then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park where park fees are paid and game drives undertaken. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its birdlife including large flocks of greater and lesser flamingos and is a former rhino sanctuary hosting high concentrations of black rhinoceros along with diverse mammal and plant species. After game drives enjoy sightings of rhinos, buffalos, Rothschild giraffes and numerous bird species then proceed to Naivasha as indicated on the itinerary.

After breakfast at 7:00am and check out at 9:00am proceed to Lake Naivasha for a boat ride towards Crescent Island. Crescent Island offers walking safaris among wildlife, guided nature walks and bird watching with species such as fish eagle, herons and pelicans and herbivores like zebras and giraffes. Activities on the island include picnicking, guided walks, biking and horseback riding options. After midday activities and game drives, depart for Amboseli National Park via Mombasa Road with a stop at Emali for snacks or lunch and washroom break, arriving at the camp or lodge around 5:30pm. Check in, freshen up, dinner and overnight stay at the camp or lodge.

Full day of game drives in Amboseli National Park starting with breakfast at 6:30am. Explore the park known for large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. Early morning game drives offer chances to see predators hunting. Picnic lunch inside the park, followed by afternoon game drives. Check out from the park around 3:30pm and return to the lodge with enroute game viewing. Evening at the lodge for swimming and other facilities, dinner at 7:30pm and overnight stay. Bonfire can be prepared on request at no extra cost.

Final day breakfast at 8:00am and check out from camp or lodge at 9:00am. Morning game drives until 11:30am then check out from the park and drive back to Nairobi with enroute stops for health breaks and self sponsored lunch. Arrive in Nairobi around 4:30pm marking the end of the safari.
